I don't understand how this works. I would think these plant would be extremely root bound. Someone explain?
you would think right? this is my first time to use them, i use 2 litre bottles. i harvested an outdoor plant that was in a 5 gallon bucket for months and she only had maybe 5 inches of roots but she was about 4 ft. it's a mystery to me :peace:

So just read it all, seems like a great way to save space. My questions are...Is there a way to do this in the same box to be able to clone? I have a 4 foot by 4 foot cab so would be able to use 3 litter bottles, just don't have to be dependent on buyin seeds and rolling the dice on male vs females. I Wish there was a efficient way to do it all in 1 cab.

Badassblue lobster.
The more you veg the closer to rootbound you'll get.
As well as health of the plant. Vigorous plants produce vigorous roots.

I have one finishing now that was vegged for 4-5 days, just the outline of the pot. Not rootbound.

The clones I have right now I'm letting veg for a week or more, trying to get these bottle grows to rootbind.
Also there is of course controversy, but some people insist that rootbound plants flower better.

thats pretty interesting. Ive been collecting my 2 liter bottles over the last few weeks so ill be joining the fun in a month or less. never done soil tho, always have done hydro. except for outdoor veggies of course.

2-Liter mightbe a little too big for what you're doing.
You couldgrow pretty largebushes in 2 liter bottles..

And youcould always start now, throwing clonees in stepby stepand making it a perpetual instead of grow-by-grow

i say a a month or less cuz i dont have any soil and with xmas, no money. :( also, i only have 3 air pumps and only one has 2 outlets for aeration. once i cut it down [2 liter] it should be about a 40 oz "container" so with that what you think?

I use around 20oz, but less intensity.
Depends on your systems strength.
Do you runair pumps in yoursoil?

Awesome man. They are fun. Will be using bottles for awhile. I stuck a bunch more in there. Have 4 females and 8 little ones going.. :D

Here's a pic of this 22" monster growing in a bottle. 10g would be nice :D.. Shes 56 days old

This is fuckin awsome for ppl with limited space. its simple, cheap, and creative and not to mention good results. Aquarter a plant is cool, every 4 plants is a ounce. I think i have found a new grow style

You can take and root clones in flower so you only need 1 cab, it just takes a wee bit longer... like a few days longer is about all in my experience.

i have 3 kc brazil clones that are like 3 weeks old, taken from 3 week, at the time, old vegging mother. they are in the 2 litres and are growing out of them quickly. the Madonna clones were taken from a flowering mother and are like 35 days into flower. brazil has been in 12/12 about a week now. the plant in the back is exodus cheese. FINALLY growing.100_2144.jpg

Chopped down my first bottle grow.
It went shitty, but the lessons were learned.

Getting ready tostart shuffling in clones for thenext season.

Mylittle Lemon Skunk lollipop, grown with less than 60w, probably got me an 1/8oz.
Super amber trichomes, definate change of plan since the last time i harvestedher.
