Hey man that bloom room looks great!!
Can you get some close up pictures of those buds? Especially the Bubba Kush? The leaves around them look like they've been coated with pure sugar. Thats alot of triches for this early.

Thanx BigTx I will get some close up pictures when I can. I normally wait until the light turns on/off for pictures, the hps makes the pictures yellow.Bigrintxas said:
And now its time for the Grow Room Update. Its hard to believe less than a month ago they were only a few inches tall and still in those red dixie cups. They are all growing really fast.
First up we have Bertha. She is doing very well. I need to top her pretty soon. I want to keep her short and fat. What do you guys think? Is she ready to top?
Debbie, beautiful, what else can I say? She is wonderful. No complaints that I can think of.
Jenni is growing fast. Its like she knows she is smaller than her sisters, so she is trying hard to catch up. I see new rapid growth on her every day.
And last, we have Grace. It wasnt very long ago I thought she was going to die. Look at her now. So healthy and green. Im glad she pulled through.

I would of topped her at 3" but I'm an 'early topper' lol
I still like to have at least 4 nodes left after topping.
How many nodes do you have there?
Looks like about 5.
All in all looking nice and healthy there BTF.

Hey man thanks, I counted the nodes and I have 8. Maybe 7 depending on how you count. I started at the bottom and counted every intersection all the way to the top. Ive included a picture for you.Yeah she's ready.

Ive never topped before so Im open to suggestions from anyone. I have seen people clone from the top of the plant so I will be doing this also. Thanks in advance.

I do this quite often when I'm growing a plant purely for the purpose of clones.
The first clone I take is always the top few nodes.
I've attached some pics of a recent GHSC Big Bang I've done this with so you can see what I mean.
Looks like you've got some strong side branching there already so I'd probably take her top off just above those tallest nodes that are producing good branches.
Should be left with 5 or so nodes, then clone the topped piece which will have a few nodes on it.

Well I topped off the fifth node after I had 4 nice developed nodes. When I take clones I try to make sure the clones has 3-4 nodes. So if you've got 8, I'd say take a clone from the top. Cut it just above the 4-5 node, and in a week or so you'll have a couple new tops coming up.

So I was just about to top Bertha, when I noticed two hairs protruding from one of the top nodes. WTF? I havent changed the light cycle or anything. Still 18/6 Everything has been going well, no power outtages, no lights getting knowcked down or anything.
So then I checked my other girls, and I found hairs on Jenni and Debbie.
Grace is the only girl that hasnt shown hairs yet...
Why would this happen? They are all still in veg. I have some pictures attatched

the plants have reached a maturity level 
they show pre-sex during veg.....lotta times growers throw thier crop into flower right away....thats the reason for that * not showing presex, cause it is either a clone or your grow from seeds are not mature yet *... just an observation from a newbie grower......

Ive never had hairs durring veg, but Im still a noob and only veg for about 30 days, so I wouldnt really know. I have read that its normal, but you cant always believe everything you read.
I hope they havent started flowering, that would ruin your plans for growing a monster like you were talking about.
Ill be keeping an eye out, good luck....

I am growing from a clone. The Mother plant was vegged for about 2 months before I took clones. And I took clones about a month ago. So they are getting up there in age.
And hey man, dont go anywhere. Stick around and watch some buds grooow. Im doing a perpetual grow so I will continue cloning and flowering until I have so much weed I dont know what to do with it all.
Yeah at first I thought it was weird too, but now Im thinking its normal. Time will tell. So how do you like your plant? When should I flower her? Its up to you what I do with her. This is an interactive journal, and I did name her after you so Im open to suggestions.....
Thank you tips... I appreciate the feedback from someone with first hand experience.I have had plants that I vegged for a long time do that....their ready to go....
My plan is to veg one or two of them for about 3-4 months. I want to transplant them from the 5 gallon buckets into 20 gallon totes. But that will come later down the road..........

I checked my girls again today. And now I have hairs coming from new locations...
Yesterday I had hairs from 1 node. Today I have hairs from 4 nodes.
The picture only shows 3 nodes, but trust me, Bertha has hairs from 4 different nodes.... I am getting worried.

Don't worry dude.
At the start of each node it is quite normal to have a calyx.
It's not a flower, nor is she flowering.
The first ones will appear at about the 7 - 8th node then slowly all nodes will develop one of them on each side.
Nothing to worry about mate.
She's not flowering, just showing you she's a girl.
It's a good sign of a healthy female.

More hairs after 1 day?!? I hope its normal, I guess we will see.
Maybe Tips is right..... You might as well switch em over to 12/12.
