I've been around riu for awhile now. I had another name on here and have been on here for about 5 years. and have a few grow journals. And got arrested in 2013. On January 1st actually. New years day here in the states. For years I've used CMH, My, Hps. I work for a sign company who also does hid lighting. These are what I'm using after a 3 1/2 year hiatus. They have built in cooling fans and heat sinks. No ballasts or power supply. They are 175 watt led corn cob. 6000k 12,000 luman. I'm running 4 of them. Hopefully they turn out good. Not hijacking just wondering what you all thought of them.

you growing vert? seems like it would make sense with those.
I kinda want to grow vert. But my problem is I've already been arrested for growing it. So the ol lady "boss" isn't too keen on me growing again. But she smokes ALOT. And doesn't like me spending 60 bucks a cut here. So right now she's only letting do one or two at a time. So I took the compromise. One or two is better than zero.

Here's a few from previous grows before I got the silver bracelets lol

This was Pineapple Express from attitude seedbank. And I'm starting one now that's a home made strain I crosses from back in the day. It's Nevilles Haze (Northern Lights #5 x Haze) then i crossed that with a pheno of pineapple express i got. That was phenomenal. Very fruity, taste, heady, and icy. The only thing that sucks is the the Neville haze is 16 weeks flowering. And the P.E. is 56ish days. So I'm hoping they get the p.e. finishing time with the sativa hi from Nevilles.

Yeah I'm kind of lucky. I had a good lawyer and got alot thrown out. When the cops come I had 11 plants, and 13 oz of dry product. But I didn't have one baggie in my house lol. So I didn't get intent to distribute. The only thing the cops turned in to evidence was my plants. None of the dry herb or wet herb that was hanging. They kept that all for themselves. I got 3 years probation. I'm free and clear now. And they just passed a medical law where I live. But you can't grow it, smoke it, or have it. Lol. They will have an extract, oils and lotions we can use. That only the state makes. Talk about bullshit.

Good shit bro what size are the tomatoes cages , I want to experiment those and really manage a canopy.

Everything looks good man the budmasters are really putting on a show! All the ladies look happy.
Thanks. Yeah, the lights are doing well! Those tomato cage things are great! I reckon they are 60cm above the ground, after being stabbed in to the soil. So 2ft. That's ok though. That should be enough, just... (:

Fed all the auto's today -1 litre each, of 1ml per 1 litre of bud candy, ph'd to 6.3.

Planted a free seed from a buddy. Delicious Candy fem, so want to grow that in to a whopper! Last time he gave me a seed it was Sweet Seeds Sweet Cheese and I grew it into a 6ft high beauty and got a real nice yield from her. Hope to do the same again!

Lost 1 Tangie auto, but do have 4 very healthy seedlings. Possibly going to transplant them in to 12 litre air pots.

Several ak47's have popped. Lost a few. Got 9 from 11, but 1 looks a bit crap. When I grow regular seeds I do lose some. I make it hard for them to survive. No humidity domes.. No time for the weak! I'm searching for an elite female, by elite, I mean a strong female survivor, that flowers fast, yields well and can withstand fucked up weather conditions!

The ak's are stretchy, as they were just on the kitchen side when they popped, whilst I was away.

Kind of a similar start for the ak47's, to the Brothers Grimm Cinderella 99 mother search had. Make it brutal, the elite will show themselves!

All in all looking great! I'll take some photo's soon, as they are changing fast. I'm sure they will like their bud candy feed and look even better tmrw.

Funny I watched a video of an AN salesman talking about bud candy the other day, do you recommend it?
Yeah mate, indeed I do! It's brilliant. Not so much for taste, but for vigour imo. Feed the soil and all that...

Think it's molasses and apple juice. Molasses is to messy to do that everytime. Really can't be arsed with it. People always sat how great it is, but it's just hassle making up nutes mixed with it. Bud candy may be a waste of money in some peoples eyes, but it's a damn lot easier when you mix it

I'm going to use bio bizz fish mix, bio bizz alg-a-mic (high in magnesium) npk 0.1-0.1-0.1 seaweed, also bud candy. That will do these autos a treat! bongsmilie

Molasses and apple juice? Ive got both of those in my fridge right now, might mix my own up haha.

I tried molasses in my last grow the stuff is messy as fuck couldn't get the stuff out my watering can for ages. Stinks. I think the GH stuff I use has molasses in already.

If you're growing organic this site can help a lot. http://theunconventionalfarmer.com/

Look into effective microoganisms usually sold As EM-1. Should be able to get it for like 15.99 or something (http://www.thebluesun.co.uk/em1.htm), if you can find it premix and fermented already you're set. It will come with molasses mixed in to keep the microbes alive and it's literally full of millions of microorganisms that will help your plants and prevent nasties. Basically a plant probiotic. It provides Lacto acids.

The unconventional gardener has a recipe for it I think to make your own for pennies. But the premixed shit is great. I'm using it and my plants are loving it.

Lactobacillus is some pretty crazy shit, pretty much saved my live when I got C. Difficile.

Always preheat some water when you mix molasses and stir it in with warm water before adding to your can. :) Molasses gets really runny when slightly warmed. Makes clean up way easier as well.

It just adds too much time to making the nutes up. Bud candy is so much easier. Doesn't fuc* with the ph too much either.

I also like their iguana bloom and overdrive, which I'll be using for my Blimburn Cindys.

I'll stay in fish mix until the stretch is over, then switch to1ml bud candy, 3ml iguana bloom and 1ml overdriver -per 1 litre. A brilliant, but quite expesive combo in flowering!

The nutes I'm using now, are nutes that I tried and rated, then grew with other nutes, then came back to them, after trying all the different available organic lines. It's quite cheap in veg. The soil has 6 weeks food, then fish mix is £7 per 1 litre bottle. Great stuff! Really the UK's keep it simple grow nutes. There are many that grow with just fish mix, have no problems with great yields. It's certainly a 1 bottle gig if you want. If I had to choose 1 bottle to grow with, it would be bio bizz fish mix. For auto's it helps keep the leaves greener, has a balanced npk and it has that ' natural fish effect and smell' that other bottled nutes just don't seem to have.

Iguana bloom smells fishy too. If it stinks of fish I do well with them. So cheap I can use it outdoors on normal shrubs.

I can bubble tap water for 12 hours, add 1.5ml per 1 litre of fish mix, the ph is then 6.3. Growing in soil, this makes things as easy as possible.

I'll have to check that out and see if they have it locally.

I'm in a notill organic soil. Been growing in 1.5-2 gallon pots for years but I recently upped to 10's and am doing less plants. I usually start to finish with just plain water all the way through. RO water. The only bottles I used for years were silica and Cal/mag. Recently started to take the organic shit a little more serious. Got that EM shit, myco fungi, some Bokashi bran which is supposed to make em go nuts. Worm castings. Humic/Fulvic acids. going to be brewing a lot of teas. Also spraying foliar's with Aloe and coconut water. Also got some Brewers barley which Coot says can speed growth up considerably. Also experimenting with Clover as a cover crop.

I decided to take the organics up a notch from what I have been doing for years. It cost about $100 extra compared to my normal expenditures, we'll see if the extra effort is worth it in the end.

If you're already bubbling water and have all that equipment try and find some worm castings bubble them in your water for 24 hours with that fish mix and ooooooooooooooooooohwie! you're offf to the races :)
