Calcium deficiency and holes in leaves?

Just took a look at the pure blend feeding chart and it looks like you're way under what they recommend. I dont usually run it as high as they say but you're waaayyy under.. usually leads to hungry plants
Man you know I thought about this as well. Maybe they were eating themselves or something? But it did get a little nute burn, so I don't get that. Also the second plant that is only 5 days younger than the main plant that I'm having problems with.

And I've fed that plant 2 times since seedling, where I fed the main plant 2-3 times more... even after flushing my soil too.
And the smaller plant looks outstanding, almost perfect. So I think if I was wayyyy underfeeding it, the younger plant would look 5x worse than the older plant, wouldn't you think?

I don't know, it's my first grow and I'm basing my experience off both plants. Same soil, nutes, strain, everything.
Glad I grew two plants for my first grow ever, rather than one. It's very helpful.

/Also: I agree with what you said in the second post too. Sadly, I'm a first timer and idk what a slurry test is lol. I got a pH meter and the HO vial test kit. If I was to take a wild guess, I would imagine it's just adding soil with some water and testing it?

Personally the way the yellowing looks and brown spots on the edge it kind of looks like K. Everytime I used hf I always found myself adding a good thick layer of wood ash on top of the dirt a few weeks into it. Just my .02 but I’m no pro

Edit. That’s my opinion based off your first set of pics. Reg light doesn’t look too bad

I would say it is a slight over nuting and a minor deficiency.
I've found under LED lights, plants need less nutes especially N.
However they seem to have a Cal / mag deficiency and sometimes phosphate .
I just add a pinch of epsom salt to every gallon when feeding or watering.
And I start to hang back on N after flowering. And increase phosphate if necessary.
Having too much N can slow growth drastically.

I'll go with too much N and a Cal/mag deficiency for 200, Alex.

And maybe a little too wet.

EDIT....how far away is the light ?

Im not sure I follow this logic.. your plant and original soil will get you to a certain point without any additional nutrients and different plants will eat more/less than others. You're feeding 1/3 what the manufacturer feeding chart recommends. There's no way to put it but your starving the plants. What you're calling "nute burn" is actually a K deficiency imo. Read my last reply on the last page.. follow it if you want.

Good luck bruh!

too much N? CaMg deficiency?

The leaves are too light/no claw/feeding 1/3rd of recommended nutrients...not N toxicity

OP has been adding CaMg with each watering.. Not deficiency

not to be a dick but

Yes I know that but, I did all the same exact procedures to both plants since the day I flushed them a few weeks back.
Except the younger plant I fed a couple days after the flush, and I haven't fed it anything but cal-mag waterings up until a few days ago when I gave it it's second feeding.
And that plant looks nearly perfect.
Now with the plant a few days older. I've fed that plant about 5-6 times since the flushing. Now with that being said I just figured the younger plant would look worse than the older plant does, considering I barley fed that plant at all. If you're saying the older plant is being way underfed.
I thought I was getting nute burn the past couple weeks, so I held way back on feeding the younger plant.
I was trying to feed them differently to see if it helped, and for barley feeding the younger plant any nutes at all since the flushing, she looks awesome.
They are both grown the exact same, except feeding wise. But I get that even though they are the same strain, they may not feed the same.

That's just what I assumed, but you know they say when you assume.

I'll definitely take your advice though with what you said in the previous post, that's what I'm here crying for help lol.

Thanks bro.[/QUOTE]

I have the same issue - and I don't see how this would be a CalMg deficiency --- which have Black spots or Orange spots. Nothing that you have posted have either Black or Orange spots.

The outwards growth would be green - you are missing a chunk of the leaf (like mine!) and there are no pests at all insight (I have 3x3 tent inside a shed)

But, I do see that your tips are burnt (N too much?)

Hard to see in the burple lights, have you checked for mites? (bottom two pictures) too much Cal Mag cut to 1 ml / gallon, pictures in natural light would help ?
Where is he supposed to be getting his calcium? cuz i dont think its coming from his flushed happy frog and if he's under feeding with nutrients that already dont contain enough CaMg so?? If he waits until "week four of flowering" at the feeding rate he's at now he will be dealing with some major issues. "its most probably temp issues" ranks right up there with saying its definitely bugs. not trying to be a dick but he said he was having ph issues (coming in under 5.5 in soil is going to cause issues long term) and he's definitely under feeding. Things look ok now but if he's noticing issues now it's not going to fix itself.

OP - have you done a slurry ph test? or just runoff? check your ph with the slurry method and if you're low you prob need some lime. From the botnicare website feeding schedule i posted above recommends 20 ml/gal by "week 3" of veg and since you flushed a cpl weeks ago slurry check your ph, make sure its ok, and then feed them and you should be golden.

Good luck!
THESE!!

I constantly pH my water going in and the run-off? Every time...
It's always around 6.2-6.3 and the ppm is about 525-575 for both plants.
look up slurry ph method and give it a go.. If you see anything like 5.2-5.4 then you know your getting locked out and the case will be closed.

What size pots are you in btw?

Ok I see, I'll have to go get more distilled water tomorrow and test that method out. I did that same thing, but with runoff water from the watering I gave it. It was about 6.5 which normally
my water/feeding run offs are about 6.3-6.4.

And I'm using 3gal pots...

Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow should be used at 15ml/gallon. Ph after you add the nutes to the water and stop f*~king around!
Seriously though, keep it simple early on. Let’s get you to harvest. Use the PBPGrow for the first two weeks of flower. Then switch to PBPBloom for the duration. Don’t worry about runoff and flushing for now. Use nutes at the recommended dosage until you can identify if you’re giving them enough or too much.

Use grow for flowering too? Well I just got my pure blend pro soil formula in the mail.
I just watered them this morning after 3 days, used 3ml of cal-mag again in distilled water.
They look beautiful this morning, all leaves are pointing upwards and looking healthy.

I'll feed them once this sunday, then once in the middle of next week. The following monday after next week I'll start using the bloom.

In his post he says he's giving three ml a gallon of calcium each watering which in my view is too much flushed or not.
There's no Ca in his soil.. His nutrients provide 1% Ca and .5% Mg and he's drastically under feeding. If he got some nutrients that provided more and/or he was feeding a lot more then it may be "too much". 90% of the time people cause problems with too much Ca.. This doesn't appear to be the case. He's talked about having ph readings in the 5.2-5.4 range and only giving 7 ml/gal of pure blend pro.. If anything he should be glad he's at least getting a lil more N from the CaMg. If he feeds more he could probably cut back a little but imo he probably shouldnt until then.

Wasnt it you talking about its probably a temp issue? and too many cooks blah blah blah??

Chef knows what he's talking about.. use the grow for the first 2 weeks after flip. Nothing worse than fading in the 2nd week of flower bruh

glad things turning around for ya
