Carbon filter setup

hello I’m looking for some advice on setting up a Hurricane Inline Fan - 4 Inch and Phresh Filter Lo-Pro 4 in x 20 in. I have a 2.5ftx2.5ft tent. I’m wondering what the most efficient way to set it up to get rid of odor ? In or out of the tent ? Positioning like straight up and down, or sideways? I Appreciate everyone’s time and thoughts very grateful for the help! Thank you

If you have a vent sock at the side of the tent and can fit the filter direct to the fan and line it up to the sock so ducting is in a straight line without losing too much head room then do that.

If you cant fit the fan and filter in a straight line in your tent then place your filter running horizontal at the very to top of the tent and run a small piece of duct out of the roof vent sock and loop it to your fan which will sit on top of your tent, if you cant put your fan on top of tent then hang is somewhere you can fit it.
Then add your duct to your fan exit and duct your heat to window/chimney/other.

I have one outside a tent and one inside another tent either way is fine. I have hydrofarm fans and the mounting holes for the hanger bracket that no one uses is on the suction side of the fan so remember to tape over them.
