Cat piss

So my girlfriend, her brother and i live in a house. We had two cats, Baby and Cloe. They wouldn't stop pissing in the corner of our living room so i decided to make them go outside indefinitely to become outside cats a few months back. Things were great, until today, when we were out to dinner with my parents whom i don't get to see too often, my girlfriend gets a call from her brother and little Cloe was hit and killed by a car. The tears ran, and we went home, they buried her but i had to head to work. They decided to bring Baby back into the house so they wouldn't have to go through that again.

Baby, i know damn well, had pissed in the mother fucking corner by the time i got home from work, i can fuckin smell it. Does anyone, ANYONE, know if some kind of spray, or cleaner, or SOMETHING to keep that god damned cat from pissing in that fucking corner???? Please help, it's right next to my gaming chair in the living room and its fucking horrible.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

Edit: I'm sorry Cloe, you were cute as shit, gonna miss you little kitty. I feel somewhat responsible, and do feel bad for making the cats go outside, maybe if i wouldn't have done that she would still be here.

get a plastic milk crate. Put the cat on that piss spot, cover it with the crate like a jail cell. put something heavy on it to keep the cat there. do this for 2, not 1, but 2 days. do NOT give in to the meows and let it out. This, THIS will resolve the issue. done it several times, works like a champ.

your welcome.

ok get a bucket and rag, pour baking soda onto the area where the cat peed let it sit for 15 mins, take the rag into the bucket of water and scrub , wash rag continue, let dry repeat over and over. than let it dry after about 5 times, take vinegar pour it on the area scrub, let dry continue keep doing it again and again and again it will come out but it takes time and patience. eventually it will come out you can also use a carpet cleaner too while doing those.

is there a reason the cat pees on the carpet? cats should not be outdoor animals imho. is the litter clean? is there neighbourhood cats around your windows?
is it neutered?

could you elaborate on this one?
well depending of course where you live cats shouldnt be outdoor animals, many people loose their cats due to wild animal killings, car accidents or cats who just dont find their way home. more often than not cats end up dying from being outdoor animals.
cats can get a number of diseases and parasites from being outdoors including fleas, ticks, ringworms, ear mites. they can get aids, distemperment, and feline leukemia.
depending on what type of area here we live in a city but close to all wild animals many cats are killed by cars or by coyotes or bears .
Loose dogs or dogs on leash can kill cats and humans arent always the nicest people and sometimes will beat stray cats or shoot them with bb guns im sure its happened more than you think.
cats also like the taste of anti freeze for some reason which will poison and kill them , pregnancy, neighbours dont want your cat shitting in their garden, cat fights, getting trapped in something

Just not worth it if you love your pet imho. I do let sunni out but she goes on a harness and i am always outside with her

Hey have you had any luck gettin your cat to pee outside?? Were trying to train our cat to do it so he feels more comfortable outside. We brought a little bit of his litter outside so it would hopefully make him feel more comfortable to do it. Usually after we come in from a walk he goes to his litter box to do his business and we just want him to do it outside a few times.

I think a lot of that can be prevented!, or the cat is just stupid to run off... you are right, it depends on where you live! Here in the mountains my cats are just raised to avoid predatory animals! Very easy for them to escape the clutches of a bear or a coyote! Pregnancy I can understand! Assholes hurting animals is understandable (no control over that) kinda silly though when you think about your reasoning... The cats enjoy life outside a million times more then in a house or apartment! If you love your cat and it loves you back it stays around. If not the cats a dick! Also a plus for outside is saving on kite litter and food! Cats are smart as fuck dude. No offense but I just think that is silly!

    • Some cats do prefer indoors though!

I should have said that, most cats prefer it outside for a good part of the day, and some lay on your couch all day long! But let's stick to facts... A million times better...a million!

On a serious note, a cat shouldn't be deprived of the home! I indefinitely is not a good approach! Should put the litter box in the spot she pisses until she's accustom to using the box! Then relocate it!

I can imagine a apt or small house would get boring after a few days.
The outside they could fuck off all they wish but like Sunni says they are exposed to all sorta shit.
Getting into a spat with a rabid animal or Kitty just gets it's ass kicked.
Safer for pets inside.
