Catnip in bloom

My catnip is going insane outside. Planted 1 plant and now it has spread all over.
I never saw this stuff bloom quite like what you have bro. :peace: Nice!

I didnt know it bloomed, I grow it for my cats. Any tips, im moving some outside soon. I want them to get huge, but not bloom.i transplanted mine inside into ocean forest, I gave them fox farm grow big (I use house and garden on my cannabis.)

Not sure, I didn't really feed mine anything, it's actually in a little 16oz cup filled half full with a loose soil and with no drain holes, I had some in richer soil and they didn't do nearly as well, it seems to thrive all by itself, the less attention payed the better, so as far as how to stop it from blooming I'm at a loss, because I certainly didn't do anything to intentionally make mine bloom haha

It likes 14-16 hours of light to set buds.....shade helps to slow it down, but will hinder growth too...but if you pick buds off as they set, you can control most of it ...catnip is pretty vigorous as a leafy herb even after it sets..I just found a new start in my garden and its going on its 4th year... :peace:

Dude they get huge! Just plant it outside and forget about it. More catnip then you could ever handle.

nice! I did some catnip a few years ago, I transplanted one outside and it came back every year, I've moved, so maybe I should do another!

cat nip is directly related to mint and other types of lavender, so it will do two things for sure spread like crazy, just like mint does, and will flower heavily just like a lavender
