so just made myself a new grow cupboard not complete yet but still able to do one plant at a time for now, just popped my cheese seed into water to germ tonight so hopefully see some sign of life soon lol,
im using a 300w dual spectrum cfl which is larger than what i used on previous grows but im hoping this will make an improvement on yield, i will also be adding additional smaller cfl side lights over the next few weeks, im planning on using BioBizz and have ordered Bio grow, Bio bloom & Bio Top Max, never tried them before but heard good things so thought id give it a try

anyways i'll keep u all updated as and when the seed shows some rootphoto 2.JPGphoto 1.JPG

no can only do 1 plant at a time just now so the lemon thai can wait as cheese auto only meant to take 90 days max from seed to harvest or so it says on attitude

(the blue lemon thai was also my attitude freebie this week lol)

i think i'll grow it out just for the experience as i will be doing the lemon thai next week anyway so if the auto is shit at least that wont be far behind,

A wouldnt say autos r shite, they're good for time n space. My advice keep it on 18/6 from start to finish n u should c a decent yield

Celtic fan by any chance??? Lol

Well to write that auto is shit on somebodies thread who just sprouted an auto is a bit... like to comment about newly created DIY cfl setup that it should be trashed and hps acquired instead.. It is just wrong.
My first grow was auto and the only thing I did not like about it - it was the most boring grow. You just setup the light and let it grow. Since it has limited days, you do not want to train the plant or do anything with it, cause any additional stress will result in stunned grow/smaller yield.. some plants grow faster some take time to get to proper base so they could be switched to flowering at full speed whereas auto just grows on its own.. :D Oh and because autos are crossed with ruderalis for auto gene my plant had 3blade leaves.. MJ with 3blade leaves like a castrated cat... well maybe not, but every morning you want to check your girl with its beautiful 9blade leaves and you can't :)) Hopefully your's will be better looking one :)
Anyway gratz on sprouting and keep updated :)

can anyone advise me of the advantages of perlite and vermiculite in my soil? ive seen most ppl use them but its something ive never tried and was wondering whether i should get some?
any advise appreciated cheers

perlite helps drain a bit more than vermiculite. as vermiculite tend to hold a bit more water.
most here tend to mix between 20-30% perlite in their soil.
the advantage of perlite is it lets the roots breath abit more without as much water retention.
good luck to you sir

your auto will be fine for someone to just say they are crap with no explanation is not so kind.
i have never grown one but will be doing so this summer. how can you beat them guaranteed to be done before frost in climates that are tough to finish in.
if they were all true crap they would not be grown much and from what i see a decent amount of people grow them.
now to say they are as high thc and produce as much now that would be abit better explanation.
guarantee if grow right its better than the swag we all buy.
good luck again bob:bigjoint:
