i use 8 cfls, 2 per plant

i need to get some sockets to setup around the plants to hit light in hard to reach areas

veg with warms and cools mixed
flower with just warms

26 and 150 Watt Compact Fluorescent 2700K Warm White CFL are great for flowering IMO

Hey, I am using cfl's right now, but am having trouble getting enough space for the lights. Where can I get one of those mounts like in the picture?

quick question (sorry if answer is easy to find) - using ScrOG method, would it be beneficial to start with lights at a greater height from the plant, to make it stretch out and quickly reach the screen, instead of wasting energy and time on lateral branches and growth that will be trimmed anyway? Space between the nodes wouldn't matter until the screen.
right?

:leaf::leaf:I haven't done Scrog before but you might want to check out Wolfman Zen's Scrog grow if you already haven't. Here is the link.

Thanks for the advice, I'll keep my eyes peeled for mylar or some nice flat white poly plastic. I looked in my CRC handbook and it says aluminum is only about 75% reflective to (what it calls) "incandescent" light, I guess they mean visible light. I'll grab some nice bright printer paper until i find something more appropriate!!
you can go to wal mart to the camping section and get the emergency blanket...they are folded smaller than a pack of cigs...you can also paint the walls, ceiling and floor flat white to help reflect light...if you paint dont use high gloss or semi gloss:weed:

i have 2 125watt cfl enviros in a homemade reflector hood with an exhaust. i found that although they do not get to hot to touch they do produce alot of heat that builds up, if your in a small grow area, without some decent ventilation so i put a fan on the top of the reflector hood to pull out unwanted heat. pics are in my journal.
