1650lumn. Cfl lights my grow are has a.c. but I know Led lights are were a lot of inside growers are using. But will this style bulb work as well, better, or at all. (750 lumn. Daylight/6500k led.) I know the cfl have more lumens but if I got the equivalent in led. Or are complete rubbish?

Oh and is it okay to mix warm and cool cfl bulb types and cfl and led mixed? Has anyone done this?

If you get the right led light you won't need CFL's. LED's that have a veg and bloom switch, give plants exactly what they need. Led's are more efficient because the use less power, yield more, generate less heat, and are more potent than any other light source. You just have to buy the right one.

I use a California light works Solar Storm 440 fro veg and flower. For seedlings and clones I use a 125w (6500k) CFL. I use then both together only when I am transitioning from CFL to LED, I use them together for about two days and thats it.

I'm Just doing this till I can afford real less I have a surplus of these and until I can swing em, I'm gonna continue the cfl unless this style led works better then the current lights in using

have you considered mixing 6500k CFLs with warm white leds? it does not take a lot of light to start seeds and veg plants. a 6500k CFL is all you really need for that

And the leds CRUSH cfls. You need to remove the diffuser on top though. But once you do, the leds are on a PCB and give you forward facing light rather than omnidirectional like a cfl would. Much better for focusing the photons where they need to be.

Have you tried this or is this theory because I already pulled that shroud off. Its a single on that 5 but I have a few that have 7 or more diodes. Its better even in that color tone?

Ok I read your thread. Were in a bit confused with i guess what is better for what cool/daylight for veg or flower or warm cfl for veg or flower. Or now is the led only good to use in flower (i believe these only come in daylight) or if I used them do I have to use cfls as well and is mixing cool and warm cfls good for all stages ( if one color temp is good for one stage or can I use them mixed then I can't misüs the best option. And ultimately what is over all better for flower in cfl form

Daylight(5600-6500k)=Veg
WarmWhite(2700k)=Flower
