overall ~ 11% more efficient but not 11% more overall light if that makes sense

and that 11% is RELATIVE efficiency

so lets just say your OG setup is 50% efficient at chip level, it would be 50* 1.11= 55.5%, not 50+11=61

Ok so about 700/800 lumen and about 8 watts shed off my existing light. Seems interesting, I may burn these cobs a little bit longer until I make the upgrade.

I wonder what Cree is thinking with all these new chips from Citizen

cree seems to have abandoned the cob market for the most part.

even in CXBs heyday citi was better (the -058s at least). since gen5 048-1818 has been above cxb and thats been out for almost 2 years

I dont understand why cree has become stagnant on their products.they used to be at the forefront of leds and had record after record for efficiency. Now companies like citizen keep improving to the point where there isnt any reason to buy cree cobs other than for their binning of high end cobs. They have extremely good efficiency in the DD bins. Only problem is that i dont believe they make those in anything other than 5000k-6500k
