I know what a key party, pretty nasty......a lil confused as to what's meant by a thread breaking down into one....maybe as in many off topic offshoots from original topic?
when bucky see4 and cheezedick cluster together, echoing and amplifying each other's comments and shouting down any discussion, thats a perfect example.

or when two economics wonks start throwing economic theories and jargon at each other in a TLDR mutual masturbation session...

or when the anti-gmo dimwits all start posting excerpts from the failed cancer mouse study, each one insisting that it's fresh new shit, hot off the presses.

8. Buck calls you a racist.
9. Cheezy chimes in with, "yeah, what Buck said"
10 C4 clings to his bulbous erection, and tells you how great he is.
11. People start talking about their sexual partners vs. Your sexual partners.

12. People get jizz in their hair

Need I go on?

I see the Key Party is coming to life. I am not relating to a team here, but the point was digested better than I expected.

What if you are a racist....exactly. What has it to do with the topic at hand most of the time?

If you're debating weather banana peels or old beer cans power flux capacitors better.....and your opponent calls racism, its a sign you are debating flux capacitors well.....if it happens on RIU, in a thread about flux capacitors.

Is this the "call a spade a spade" argument?

Funny how all the racists on RIU try to make it seem like the racecard is being abused and that there aren't any racists.
It does seem that supporting a racist through playful dialogue is uncommon for someone who is not. It is a pretty severe accusation and proof is hard to show but clearing my name would be important.

It is a good point that it is irrelevant, but is it true? This is a thread about debate and character plays into that. I am curious is all.

everybody knows used coffee grounds are the optimum feedstock for Mr Fusion, the Flux Capacitor only requires 1.21 Gigawatts of power, whether is comes from plutonium or a Mr Fusion module.

only a racist homophobe like yourself would attempt to sidetrack the issue with references bananas (Soo Racist!!) and beer cans (Even Racistier!!).

Is what true? Elaborate clearly.
he means, if one is accused of being a racist, and it is true (to any degree, or from any perspective) then every position you hold on any subject is morally and ethically suspect.

this is the basis for Ad Hominem attacks, discrediting the opponent, rather than his argument.

Is the racist allegation true? Are you this person or not?
and thus it is demonstrated.

emotional response engaged, the dead weight of useless logic is jettisoned, and it's off to the races with attacking the opponent, rather than arguing against his position.

so facile. so predictable. so lulzy.
