Love maitake. What medium do you grow those in?

This year has been completely bananas (and late) for chanterelles. Foraged 15# last weekend in 5 mins. Cant wait for morels...should be an awesome year.
i'm so jealous of the fall mushroom season you west
coasters had this year. porcini and chanterelle went crazy!
i've never been very good at finding morels, the micro
climate where i'm located is much warmer than the
surrounding area in a several hour radius.

i'm using hardwood fuel pellets (hwfp) and rice bran
with all my edibles. substrate prep is really straightforward-

weigh out 900 grams of hwfp, dump into a mycobag
add 1200 grams hot tap water, allow pellets to expand
add 180 grams rice bran, mix the expanded pellets and
bran inside the bag, being careful not to get wet substrate
material on the filter patch while you mix.

that hwfp/bran mix works for lion's mane, shiitake, oyster,
maitake, pholiota, and pioppino mushrooms.
