Colorado has great weed, what is your favorite strain?

My favorite is still Hawaiian, specifically Maui, for the effect. But because my experience is very limited with the recent developments in seed development, I am interested in what others are enjoying. I see Super Lemon Haze mentioned a lot in the forums, sounds like something I should try. The Blueberry I got recently was very nice and I am growing one out to see if a homegrown bud has the same effect.

our group cut of the durban/snocap, c99, qrazy russian, MGs cut of blue dream ..... too many to choose! but those are tops on my head

I ran a spectacular hawaiian sativa (told it was Maui, but hard to tell for sure) a few years back and made some beans (herijuana male) you can try if you want. ;)

Cool EC, I may take you up on seeds as soon as there is room for tall plants again. I am setting up for WW and then kush, limited by my plant count. I have a Sativa Seeds Maui Waui for the next set and can sure make room for another. Appreciate the offer and will PM as soon as planting schedule is clear.

If you had to narrow your favs down to one that was toke for toke the very best smoking herb, the most primo of the lot, which one would win? Tough choice when you have seen so many excellent strains and crosses... (BD?)

Romulan has been mentioned as a perennial favorite, something to always keep in the garden. Not sure about that one, but the folks who suggest it are adamant that it really is worth growing. Maybe not the best, but certainly a staple.

Actually the Rom that they are talking about is an old Korean IBL, not anything you can buy in seed form, or even find unless you know the right person. I finally got this in my garden, still very small, but coming along nicely. This cut is from before all the cross breeding. I have only had the pleasure of smoking friends buds of this, but always are spectacular.

I see what you mean about Rom, Next Generation is offering seeds, but all crossed with something. Korea? First I've heard about a Korean cannabis strain. Something to log for a future quest.

I have the rom back in my veg too ;) she is also on that list of keepers. i may be a little biased, but the durcap is my must keep if i had to ditch everything else

So, a Durban Poison and Snowcap cross? You have found a strain that almost nobody else can ever get? :bigjoint:bongsmilie:peace: Awesome! Taking the time and putting out the effort to create new and improved strains deserves a special reward, like the experience of enjoying the finest that cannabis has to offer. Someday I may decide to allow a male plant to live and let the pollen to create seeds in my small garden, but for now, because I can only have a few plants at a time, I'll continue to grow females and enjoy the buds they produce. I just wish it didn't take 4 fucking months.

no, I got it as 'a special cut of durban', but there has been a lot of debate among the crew that it is actually snocap. so, i just call it durcap sometimes. you can have a cut of her any time you want, the Treehouse carries the main backup moms now

Small world, I am doing my second grow with Seedsman's NL, had a variety of phenos from a 10 pack of seeds and picked the best 3 to clone and continue, probably have it down to one next time. What breeder did you go with?

I planted the Dutch Passion BB and while it is still early, just finishing veg, it is a fast big plant and seems to be very robust. It goes to flower in about a week. Which BB did you go with? There are a few warnings on the Dutch Passion about hermies, guess I'll find out. Looking for tips about determining the best time to cut, probably same as other strains, wait for mostly cloudy trichs, but if you got any tips I'm always open to advice.

I called the guy I get my clones from ( he pops them from seed ) and it is a DPBB he bred with a Northern Lights for genetic stability.

It is a heavy producer and 8 week flower, it also likes lower then normal PH.

Mine flowers at 5.8 and finish at 5 ( veg was 6 to 6.2 max )

Never had a hermie.

Smells and tastes like Boo Berry cereal or Fruity pebbles.

This is one of them 2 weeks from harvest...this is a single plant in the picture. And yes it is actually blue...pretty cool huh ?

Total cured weight was slightly over 10 ounces and a couple of colas were almost 2 ounces alone.

Dense, dank and sticky...

Very very tasty and stony and the best part I never get burned out on it.

Good luck

^ Thanks. Pretty proud of it myself.

One last tip

Personal preference though.

I harvest when it is mostly milky with a few clear.
Amber does not work on this strain..at least for me it doesn't.

Kills the flavor too...weird huh?

I get that, some strains the buds just get kind of rotten after their peak, thanks for the tips. My BB is off to flower in a couple days after 5 weeks of veg where it has been growing like mad, faster-larger than the other strains, so I topped and took a few clones, planning to keep this one going as long as it doesn't hermie. This one will get Botanicare in a NFT/aero/hydro rack next to NLs, White Widow, G-13 Haze and a Sensei Star. The idea of crossing NL with BB is brilliant, congrats on a terrific grow and a superb strain.:peace:

Moved the BB to a DWC unit today because it has gotten so much larger than everything else that it would crowd the others and it needs room to grow. Decided to give it Jack's nutes as a test, but the clones from plant this are moving to veg tomorrow just in case this doesn't work out.

My favorite all around strain is Pandora's Box. It just seems to put me where I want to be on a consistent basis.

EC's Durban Poison (AKA Durcap) is probably my favorite plant to grow, even though I have only grown it once. I have grown other Durbans and found them to be solid performers but EC's mom is truly spectacular. She's got great structure, glistens with trichomes and smells incredible.

303's Aurora Citrus pheno (NL#5) is another top contender, both for ease of growth and quality of effect. That plant can go through Hell and come out smiling. She'll make you smile when its all over, too.

Last, but not least, is indi's Romulan (AKA Korean IBL). I haven't grown her yet but she is on my bucket list. The taste, smell and high profile are all top notch. She truly will "dent your head". I am definitely on the waiting list for any progeny of hers that may or may not be coming our way... :-)

303 gets mentioned a lot as having great seeds/genetics. There is a mix pack at 'Tude that includes the NL citrus, wish I had room to run them, it is on my future list. Pandora's Box sounds like fun, TGA Subcool seeds are available, wonder if that is the line that you tried? The Rom is a mystery to me, legendary strain that doesn't seem to be around in seed form unless crossed with something.
