Bio-Diesel = Sensi Star x Sour Diesel from 303 Seeds, again with 303, seeing a trend here, and yeah, they seem to sell out of everything very quickly. I actually met some of the 303 gang at Green Grass in Central City on 4/20 and was impressed with their knowledge of cannabis. I learned some stuff about CBD that day and scored some seeds of Meltdown that I plan to germinate as soon as my current plants finish. Green Grass had a good stock of 303 seeds last time I visited.

Oh god yeah...The last time I grew Bhog, I was soooo sad when I was at the bottom of the jar, with only a few grams left. I wanted it to last forever.

Appreciate the info, it is good to know which of the many strains available are worth checking out. Blueberry crosses seem to be popular.

After thinking, I'm gonna have to say eggnog is a good strain but I won't be titling it a favorite

But a very consistent strain I've always had has been Green Crack. Love the potent flavor and fuzzy dry eyed high

A seasoned veteran, I've learned to not trust what so many think is actually exceptional cannabis. With the rise of disp here in the Pac N W the quality has actually dropped across the board. Proportionately anything really good disappears before it makes it to the shelves, spawning a feeding frenzy of, 'keep away' fieners. Many simply don't know any better, having never smoked the stuff that's in a whole 'nother league. Many likewise unknowingly harvest their crops a little early, not knowing mere days makes a huge difference in results. Most disp bud, inclusive of most black market nugs are immature. My strain recommendation of trust would be Super Silver or Lemon Haze, TGA's Vortex or BC God Bud on the Indica dom spectrum. Maui Wowie is rather weak by today's standards BTW. Floundering Highgrade seeds has a near original '70's Kona Gold that's more potent.

Thanks Jar, appreciate the candid insight. I smoked Kona Gold while on Oahu in the mid 70s -just once- and was struck by how beautiful the buds were, actually gold color, but the buzz was less potent than the Maui at the time. Coulda been the harvest time on that sample, like you mentioned and like I am currently learning, the harvest time with cloudy-amber trichs affects the buds' potency greatly. I'll add your strains to the list and move up the SLemonHaze on my personal to-do list.:peace::leaf:

There is still some killer Maui Wowie out there.
Admit I recall the Maui back in the day seemed more potent. But I'm going off of several online reviews from reputable sources that claim today's Maui isn't so exceptional. And the Kona I've had years ago was better than so many so called top shelf strains I see around. Sativa dom, but rock hard golden cow pie nugs that were to die for. A high that felt like the sweet taste, carrying for hours, electric!

Something few consider is the significance of particular phenos. Even stable strains throw a wide variation from seed. This is why cannabis is such an adaptable plant to differing growth conditions. Many growers simply are unaware or don' care or have the resources to be so selective with their source genetics. Most often, even before the seedbanks existed, seeds from exceptional buds would throw a range comparable to the bag of buds quality, but many that look healthy and vigorous wind up being mediocre at harvest. Unless a grower takes the time to work out some keeper phenos, the results are more often so-so. This I believe is a major cause in inconsistent opinions on strains as much as anything. Like anything, to get the best results, one really must have a passion to grow.

Edit: What's a Pac N Wester doing here on the Colorado mmj site? Because we'll be moving to the Colorado Springs region in a few months.

Hey Jar, excellent points about quality, hope you can set up a grow when you get settled. I brought my family here from the western region to pursue a career and get the kids their degrees. They were supposed to move out after they graduated, but while they are still at my place I get the benefit of more plants, 6 per adult 21 and over. Regarding phenos, there are quite a few well informed seed breeders in CO who are creating some extraordinary strains. If you are interested in growing out some quality plants you won't have to look far to find seeds. The legal environment is still evolving, but having a legal right to grow and possess this plant is a great thing and speaks well of the people in CO who made it happen. Best of luck with your move!:leaf:
