you say "and the kids are away".........do your kids not know you grow?
Hey Mad, No, I feel regardless who it is.....being totally stealth is the best policy....at least with ANYBODY in my circle of friends and family... They know I partake, but not grow....My "kids" are 30 and 32 from my first marriage and I have 2 teenage girls from my second marriage. The teens know I smoke, but no clue I grow. They live with their Mother, you may know her..."The Wicked Witch of the West???? She would dime me in 2 seconds if given the opportunity..

Haha, I was gonna say "I know the feeling"... but you already know I do. Patience is a great thing. Thanks for checking it out.

Still Looks like you have a couple of weeks left to go. What are your plants? Indica, Sativa, or Hybrid? I say a couple more weeks because your buds haven't fully caught up with the pistils yet. They will start to die off and the actual bud swells up more. Also I noticed that your leaves aren't showing any deficiencies. Have you flushed? Near the end preferably the last two weeks should be nothing but pH'd water(in soil). During the last few days the nutrients are extracted from the leaves, making the leaves look like there is deficiencies in the plant. Totally normal. Leaves start to turn colors like dark purple, pink, red, etc. In my opinon that lets you know that the nutes will be out of your final product, leaving nothing but the excellent taste of some good bud!!!! Hope this helps you....

Thanks for the input BK. She is a mystery strain. It's showing some sativa traits though. Seems like it's gonna be a heavy hitter with production. I have not started to flush yet. I am running a basic DWC and thought about when I should start a flush. Some of the lower buds have formed and appear to be almost ready. P9250004.jpgP9250005.jpg

While the majority still look all pistil covered with none of the pistils drawing back into the calyx. P9270001.jpg

I may harvest twice. Any suggestions on a dual harvest?

Don't see why not.. Don't wanna give you wrong advice. But just from my personal experience and strains I've dealt with. I have done that before. I was told that it sends the extra energy to other buds to begin to ripen or finish up. 42/flower and that many pistils and low amount of trich's, thats in my opinion a sativa. Flush'em out and give them a half dose of something for trich production. Usually something high in the P & K. Once after you flush. and then plain pH'd water. And watch the Tricomes for harvest..

The look great. I'm just confused a bit by your plants. I've never seen plants finish faster on the bottom... usually it's the other way around. I'm not saying anything is wrong, it all looks as good as you could want it. It's just a bit strange. I've done perpetual harvests, lol. As in clip some today, some tomorrow, etc for a few days, even up to 7 days I think. There's nothing wrong with that at all. I like it better as you aren't overwhelmed with trimming everything at once and you give the buds trailing behind in maturity a little longer to reach their full potential.

Nice pics.

Thanks J******n. You talk, I listen!! I talked with ChickenGutz and he agreed with what you said about the oddity of lower buds ripening first. They were hidden by canopy until about 3 weeks ago, It was so thick I cleared some of the fan leaves out of the way for light to penetrate further in. But the ripening buds are over 2 feet below the light, while the BIG unripe colas are 6" away......Go figure..anyone else heard or seen this phenomenon before????

This is similar to what I do. I actually harvest the top buds then put the bottom of the plants back under 12/12 for
up to three weeks, depending on how much weight is left growing after the tops come off.
Some plants I trim up neat, early in flower, and harvest all at once when the plant as a whole looks ready.

With the first two plants of my current harvest, the bottom buds flowered for three more weeks after I cut the tops.
The third plants bottom flowered an additional two weeks longer than its top buds. The fourth and final plant will be
harvested all at once this saturday. I need the space to get some absolutely beautiful Mango and Blueberry plants
under 12/12 to find my new Mommas.
Looking good bro.

Thank you friend. Have you ever dual harvested ass backwards, taking lower buds first?? :leaf:

excellent them bro...rep given...
Thanks KM. I just give them the water, nutes and environment to grow. Mother Nature does the rest..:leaf:

Thanks for looking in cabbage. I appreciate the compliment. I was posting pics like every 5 days. As I get closer to the prize, I'm gonna start posting more pictures like every other day. Stay tuned!!:leaf:

No, my buds usually mature from the top down, the lower buds usually form and mature
a few weeks behind the upper most buds. This is why I let the bottoms grow
an additional 2-3 weeks after cutting the tops.
What day did you start the plant on 12/12 lighting?
