and did anyone else giggle at the "some laws make us more free" line?should change our country motto to "The Giant Oxymoron"
So you think the civil rights laws LBJ passed made us less free? Did the laws passed during womens suffrage make us less free? Did prop 215 make us less free? Did SB 420 make us less free?

Your sweeping generalizations about laws are completely ignorant. Want to see how "free" a place is without laws? Go visit Somalia, then tell me how glorious freedom is there.

its obvious people are only thinking locally...all of this is based on your own greed..what makes things better for you.im thinking for the whole nation.look at the big picture...even if one does go to their local officials and something changes...that just helps them and a small collective.and who is to say once that elected official leaves office...things wont change after the new elected come into office.its the whole illusion part of things....little slices of freedom..for a limited few

first off...LBJ...how many years ago was that....what has happened since then...did things get better...look around and tell me they have...like i said they make you think your getting the good deal...but they just fuck you from another direction.and you mention somalia...at no point do they gloat about their country being so great and free...like we do..you go to somalia you know your going into a shit country...unlike us...being a shit country while shoving down everyones throat how great we are...while we screw over more of its own people then any other nation.

Yeah, who needs logic right?

all of this is based on your own greed..
As apposed to all the current growers and dealers who are against prop 19 because they are concerned with freedom.... Right.....

what makes things better for you.
I'm doing just fine right now actually.

im thinking for the whole nation.look at the big picture...even if one does go to their local officials and something changes...that just helps them and a small collective.
And that's a bad thing how? Yes, the end of prohibition may come collective by collective, city by city, county by county. Why is that bad?

and who is to say once that elected official leaves office...things wont change after the new elected come into office.its the whole illusion part of things....little slices of freedom..for a limited few
Little slices of freedom come to those who fight for them. You know what comes to people who sit around and complain about no one coming by and handing them freedom? Nothing.

I dunno but i think you got issues deeper then just prop 19 with the government lol. But good luck on your rebel campaign.

its most likely headed in the direction of how cigarette companies are. Where all small time growers or people who can grow for themselves are still not going to be able to grow. Imagine trying to compete with big factory companies. do you think quality will go down or up?

some of us just woke and saw that the fighting we was doing wasnt working...and the state of the nation proves that

prop 215. Please, tell me how I'm being oppressed by prop 215. This should be good.

.did things get better.
from the civil rights laws? Yes. I think it's a good thing that black people are allowed to vote, get jobs, and go to college.

..look around and tell me they have...like i said they make you think your getting the good deal...
So civil rights wasn't really a good deal? interesting....

but they just fuck you from another direction.and you mention somalia...at no point do they gloat about their country being so great and free...
But they have no laws. that's what you want right? All laws are bad and oppressive aren't they? So Somalia should be an anarchist Utopia.

Do you really think all cannabis users most of them who are obsessed with quality are all of a sudden going to decide "you know what? fuck quality! What I really want is mass produced schwagg!". I find that unlikely.

The state of the nation is largely due to apathy and a defeatist attitude. You know what? If you give up and say you can't do anything, it'll come true.

anyways...think ive hijacked this thread enough for the evening...im gonna go get high...wether its legal or not.its real simple...just pass a national law that anyone can grow up to 10 plants...and poof..taken care of.its easy to grow on your own...let politics and nature be two different things.how anyone has the balls to tell me i cant grow a fucking plant...has their head to far up their ass to help in any way and are seriously looking at the wrong issues at hand...if this much debate can be held over a plant...seems we have confused priorities.

Big companies are gonna mass produce the shit outta probably low to mid grade stuff, then your going to have your mom and pop smoke/cafe shop that offer primo, the choice will be ours. Quality wont go down.

well yeah....but if you want to follow leaders that tell you you cant have a plant then try to work along side them to get that same plant legal..then follow...want to know why they call it the american dream? because you have to be asleep to believe it

well yeah....but if you want to follow leaders
Stop right there. I don't think you're understanding me (or I'm not explaining what I'm trying to say good enough)

Following leaders is exactly the problem. We shouldn't follow any politician. We should elect those who are most likely to agree with us but then it is up to us to make shit happen. No politician will ever just give you freedom unless you're willing to act. Freedom is taken, not given. Showing up to a voting booth is never enough. That's just a beginning. Prop 19 like prop 215 before it will be completely worthless if we treat it as an end game. But if we use it as a start point we can use it to end prohibition one county at a time. Sure, we'll lose some battles and win some others. But ultimately by doing this we could bring an end to prohibition this way for good.

What we can't do is follow some leader or pass some law and expect everything to work out our way. That will never work. I don't care how good of a legalization bill we pass, it'll never do shit without the people getting out and making it happen. Otherwise it will end up with corporate domination no matter what the circumstances.

Apathy and a defeatist attitude are exactly what big corporations want. They want you to believe there is nothing you can do about it. But you know what? It's not true.

Yeah. I have the suspicion that a lot of people on here are in the "i gots mine" crowd. They are making good money off of cannabis so they don't want everyone to be able to grow their own or buy it in stores.
what you just said is literally what richard lee\prop19 is trying to do to me,ironic.

as well..i encourage almost everyone in my community to grow their own, and will humbly teach everything i know about it to them.
ill give away equipment, nutes, my free time to help them get set up.

im not scared of losing money if prop19 passes, besides i got plenty of other skills to pay the bills, growing is just fun so its a perk.

you know something bro...all that i agree with...that was pretty much my entire point.that the people need to stand up for themselves and not roll over.i know there can be a change...but not till more people think like us and speak their mind..no matter what side they are on.i know that change can be made...but it will take much more then a few people sprung out in different counties...it will take the people in mass to make a change.and until that happens we will not see enough of a change in our lifetime to make a true difference

This just in prop 19 co authored by the Devil!!!! Vote NO! Lol..... Ok so let me level with u I don't care anymore! Like someone posted growing bud is my pass-time not my profession. I smoked and grew when pot was illegal and I smoke and grow now!

i agree with danny dakota it's not like the DEA is gonna be busting doors down to check how many feet is your growing room. People already abused the marijuana laws we have so its not like every one is going to follow the new laws.

Vote YES on prop 19

One small hit for man, one giant toke for mankind.
