If you see no need to trim leaves, then I wouldn't. There are two schools of thought on pulling leaves to get more light to the buds. Some say that the leaves are what make the buds fat, so you want them as much as possible... then there are those who say the most direct light to buds you can get will make them ripen up better. Personally I think that leaves are a good thing. The only reason I pull leaves are for two things, One is if I have a screen and the bottom leaves are getting zero light, I pull everything below the screen (including budsites). The other reason is if the leaves are bunched up together from being tied back to a screen... in this case I pull as little as needed, but enough to uncroud the leaves and not let them start up Powdery Mildew, from not being able to evaporate water they breath out. If you've ever had leaf upon leaf laying on eachother you would know what I mean... they build up water between them and that's not good. From the looks of your plant I would just leave it be. When comes time to harvest, you might want to harvest the outside buds (the ones in the light) first and let the ones on the interior get a little direct light for a couple/ few days.

But if you really want to pluck leaves I've pulled a few leaves a day all the way through flower before and have seen no ill effects. Maybe 5 leaves at the most. You could probably do more, but I don't think it's worth it.

Good luck

Thanks alot jigfresh:clap:
ive been wondering about this my entire grow.
ive always been smack dab in the middle as it pertains to light to leaves and light to bud sites
so thats why ive always been skeptical of shaving it..seems like im not goin to:leaf::leaf::leaf:

View attachment 1395553Nice club ya got here TOKEMASTERFLEX...my pledge is with the SuperPonics-16 in my Cube...O2 at the roots... CO2 at the leaves!!
I was doing 2 plants in a garden of ease sunleaves dwc...it was week 8 and 2 into flowering wen i found one was male....had to cut the plant out and cut a lot of roots. My experience for first time growing dwc is to SEPERATE ROOTS. so far im lucky as to not having any root rot or even having to use anything to prevent it.. it seems fox farms nutes is doin work=)..just some helpful tip

I have 11 day old Extrema in 18 gal rubbermaid w/2 6 in air stones. PPM 190 pH 5.7-6 Res Temp 70 Room Temp 77-80 Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow/Bloom. I put Vinegar in the res to lower pH but I wouldn't think that would stop it from growing. The round leaves are really pale and the root that is hanging in the water hasn't seemed to grow either. I don't see any sign of nute burns just the pale colored leaves and stand still growth at 11 days old. Only full set I have is my fist single blades. Any suggestions. I know it's hard to say without a pic.

ive never hear of using vinegar to raise or lower pH...just get ph down or ph up
i know you can use h202 or hygrozyme to alter pH as well as maintaining water clearity

vinegar or lemon juice will lower ph. it is said to cause a build up in the tank tho so i plan to get some ph down and h2o2. I have read to use bleach at amount of about 8 drops per gallon. But anyways I think my problem is my root seems to be damaged at the bottom of my net pot so i raised the water level in hopes that it will repaor or new growth will take place. cuz it looks like it has no life to it

Make sure no light is hitting the roots... that will make them shrivel up real quick. Sorry I can't be of more assistance.

I did everything myself from the DWC to the cabs. Except the pics are a little old, I am now using a 150w HPS in both. These are my flowering cabs. I have a veg tent that gets put up and taken down when not in use.

Thanks, one side has a bagseed sativa (I just added pics today) that is finishing up in about 2 weeks and I have an AK48 in the other one that is about two weeks into flowering, I also have a swiss cheese in the veg tent that will be ready to go into the cab when the bagseed is done, but this bagseed is throwing everything off cause it is such a long flowering strain. So I am basically prepetual, once I get everything worked out I should be pulling a plant a month.

When I added the 150W HPS lights everything took off.

i hate that man. i did that with my perpetual grow (tried introducing new strain) and i did the same grow, flower, grow, flower some more lol it was a pain.

i bet sure your going to get much more under hps you running them in cool tubes or something??

No cool tubes, the fan in the box keeps the temp at 79F and the light sits about 12" above the plant. The 150W is perfect for my little space.

yo Dr Green thanx...well i had a ph issue and my ph keep wanting to go way too high so i added white vinegar and then i read some forums and i then thought it was a bad idea, so i washed my roots in the bath tub and changed the water. when i washed the roots alot of brownish water kept rinsing off. i use a semi light tea colored nutes (im using AN Connoisseur flower, AN Big Bud, AN Bud Candy, Botaincare Sweet Berry Carbo, & Snow Storm Ultra) and the roots are darker then the water by far. maybe a lil darker then the roots shown above...can i hurt the plant by giving it a pretty much being gentle root washing in room temp water? will the stress affect the final outcome when im 3 weeks from harvest? i wont have to wash em again just knowledge for next grow.... thanx.

hey man no problem i have washed my roots before and i can say if the water is at the right temp it will stress the plant allot less i use a removable shower head and keep the water low so the pressure is not like a fire hose, but i can also say it does stress the plant a little bit but didnt really effect any growth the leaves just slightly drooped for a few hours.

Some nutes ( happens more with organic based stuff) I use General Hydroponics nutes and I add Florablend and Floralicious plus both stain my roots as long as it doesnt stink like rotten eggs then you shouldnt have root rot.

I used vinegar for a few weeks to lower the pH. I had to add numerous amounts daily. It caused sudsy bubbles and buildup in the res. And the pH continued to rise. Bout Advanced Nutrients pH down. I add a few drops to my water and have no problems. Just add a drop or two every couple days after checking the pH of course. Hell of alot better than the vinegar ever was. $20 for 1L from eBay. The bottle will last a long time cuz I use a visine bottle as a dripper. Very handy

beaver, no they do not stink at all but one plant's roots are darker then the other..im just tripping cuz im so close to them being finished and would hate to fuck up the taste or whatevs.......im sure its just from the nutes. im actually about 10 days till i harvest... excited!!! i dumped a bunch of nutes into it tonight, a lil more then normal. i figured i will feed only water and maybe bud candy the last week of flowering and spray just pure RO H2o on it each morning. im using AN Connoisseur, AN Big Bud, AN Bud Candy, Botainicare Sweet berry Carbo, & Emerald Triangle's SnowStorm Ultra. normally i use 10ml of each A&B of Conniosseur, 6ml of each B.B., B.C., & Sweet Berry, & 4ml of Snow Storm. also about 6ml of peroxide. i add that amount to each 4gal res. every other day. i add water every day, about half gal. i give em a light spray of mixed 2ml of snow storm & 1ml of sweet berry in a 1qrt spray bottle each morning...i gave em a bout a 30% increase of nutes tonight... im growing himalayan gold from green house...does all this sound pretty good or anything you would adjust fire on. these plants are fairly large at about 62" tall now and stalk is 1.5" wide...any advice would be fantastic. oh and i picked up some AN ph down and botainicare ph up & down. works great....thanx
