Oh please enlighten us. Do you get your information the Joseph Smith way?
China is, essentially, fucked.

Domestic consumption of their own goods has DECLINED since 2000, they are below average of even "poor" nations. Since they have no welfare system, since things are costing more, people are buying less. They have essentially poured billions into projects that are considered "over-capacity," meaning 'no one is using this shit we just built because no one can afford it.'

Their CPI rose 6.5% from 2010-2011.

They have literally, tens of thousands of protests every year, because people are REALLY over-worked and under paid. Their internal stablity is not a guarantee, but a highly precarious situation that they are just barely keeping the lid on.

In August, they essentially swallowed $438 billion in losses to their own local governments.

They are barely allowing any free speech, weibo is already in "cooperation" with the CPC, hardly a "free voice." And, infact they are working on a system to begin tracking all public wi-fi users names, and internet activity.

They had declared MARTIAL LAW in Kashgar, to suppress what they are essentially calling "domestic terrorists."

And, do you remember bashing my "the China Bubble Has Burst" thread? Well, they are posting trade DEFECITS.

Seriously, search for "China protests" or even "china riots," shit has been going down there for a LONG time.

Or you can just bash everything with sarcasm and lack of actual initiative...

If Communism and Socialism are so bad, why do we borrow money from China and trade with Socialist countries like Canada? If China's system is so corrupt, why do we buy their child/slave labor products?

Also, if the USA is worried about Socialism why is Canada doing better in the economic recovery? They obviously must be doing something right where Democracy is failing.

I am not huge into Politics, but just a thought.
We are not a Democracy
Democracy is the problem in the USA

good post ruiner but china is getting away with cheating right now and they are coming out with a lot of bold new moves; They plan to have their currency on the world market soon and they are cheaters - but your speak the truth, they are very very fucked in many ways. I think they might start going to war with other nations because they are starving for more pillaging and raping of peoples. I think we are probably the only thing that holds them back, because we give them so much work and money.

Oh dude...there was an investigation recently when 110 chinese companies were audited, and when they were found to be highly fraudulent, the SEC and another body whose name I dont recall atm, asked these companies to open their books, and the Chinese govt protected them from the investigation citing "state secrets"

This article has a great passage:

As the appeal of state-driven capitalism grows, we can expect a much less efficient global economy. We'll see politics injected into economic policymaking much more often and on a much larger scale -- within both emerging and established powers. We'll see governments defend their political interests with new sets of tools and weapons, like currency policies, market access, intellectual property rights, and new forms of resource nationalism that move beyond oil, gas, metals, and minerals into commodities like food.

They can try to play the game, but I doubt that they will actually get very far. It's not as if their internal instability is not known to other nations.
