Hi Jig

Discovered your journal last weekend and i ve been doing 20 or so pages a day...still have 10 to go but just like when you near the end of a good book and sneak a look at the last page, ive jumped to the end here to say hello and congratulate you on an awesome grow!

Im planning an almost identical grow (4/6 scrogged plants, hps, bubbleponic etc...) so its been super helpful to follow your grow cos the problems and decisions that arose will most probably be ones that ill be faced with at some point.

I live waaay over the other side of the world and its been great having a glimpse into your life up there in the Californian hills, looking after your plants, playing with the cats in the snow...ha ha, they dont really like that stuff huh? Sorry if i missed this but are a boarder/skier and if so whats your fav hill over there? I left the UK to come to the Alps to train as a ski teacher which never happened, still here after years, only now im an English teacher!

Which leads me to the next slap on the back, massive well done for using paragraphs and sentences! Im no grammar snob but so much good info here is burried in enourmous great slabs of text that are just an absolute nightmare to read!

Your preparation and research for this project has been exemplary, i hope your growing goes on to bigger and better thing, tho maybe bigger isnt on the cards and i dont see how it could be better!

With all that space up therehave you ever thought about an outdoor grow?

Once im done with the last 10 pages here im gonna hop over to the new journal, cant wait!

Well done again mate, best of luck!

Hey Jig. Way to go on your vertical grow, its looking good. And also saw your going to ttry soil grow, nice. Quick question, How long did it take you from veg to harvest for this jornal with the set up you had? Im confused because you read on websites that certain strains have certain grow times like 8-9 weeks, and im wondering if that is growing on soil ot growing hydro? it doesnt specify. I alos know that you used the scrog method so it took you a little longer. Just wondering if you can give me a little imput on this matter. Thanks man, and like always your plants look nice.

good luck you should be ok but seven plants is quite a bit for that space are you plannin on keeping your mother plants ....it will help on the $ end plus youll have a crop every two months,if your cloning the yeild will obviously vary ..your set up is nice and it can get pricey... if you need the nuts there are a ton but i use gh it is expensive but also forgiving you cant mess this up.. its a three part program but its workin great for me i have a soil set up and a hydroponic system ...the hydros seem to do alot better ....hydro systems are great especially if your growing autos

no worries on your space... that's enough. I only have 2 x 3 x 9... not too much more than you. A 400 would work. you could probabaly use a 600 too. much more efficient if you can cool it.

gald you like the grow. The links to the rest of my grows are in my sig.

Read most of it :) thanks for all the Pic's and Vid's that was awesome to have while reading. Totally admire your DiY skillz my friend!!! Tons of great info from your first hand experience and the other guys that posted. I've read quite a few guides and I'm glad I took the time to finish this cause now I know what to expect for the most part and it makes it not as scary kinda. Thank you so much for sharing your experience

Right on my friend. I have some tea tree oil on hand. Get's rid of the itching when you have a mosquito bite. Crazy stuff it is. THanks for stopping bye.

im in a situation similar to yours im working in a closet 2 feet wide 12 feet long, i have 9 plants in there, thinking that i should definitley get a screen for scrog and flower fairly early..

Yeah, I would flower after they were like 10 inches tall or something. And you might need to lollipop them or something to make it not so crowded.

Thanks for the support guys.

Here's the pics of the netting and such.

My meter should be delivered today. The rest of the gear today or tomorrow.

One note about the netting I used, DO NOT use this unless you have a heat gun. The stuff is so set in it's coil, it's taken quite a bit of patience to get it flat. The last two pictures are of the heat gun, the two before those a before and after using the heat gun. If you do try this, I used the medium (800F) setting on the heat gun and held it about 8 inches away. I found letting it cool after going over it once and doing it again helped too.
I like the screen that youre using to separate the root bundle

Thanks for checking in. I don't know if it was necessary, but it gave me a lot of comfort for my first grow, knowing at least my roots wouldn't be all tangled if I killed one of my plants. Thanks for the like over on the topping/fim thread.
