DIY with Quantum Boards

The QB 96 elites on HLG's site look really awesome. Does anyone have these or any experience with them? I'm not sure if that can be hung on their own or if they require fixture support? Would love to hear some experiences or info. from those who have tried them out -- that heat sink looks massive haha!

Quick question. I have two 324 boards on a 320h-c1400a that im not using, is it ok if I run just one of the boards at 150-160w on this driver? Setting up a small tent to run through some seeds/genetics.

You can't run just one of those boards on that driver, min. rating is 114 V for that driver. Plus I don't think you'd be able to reach 150-160W at that mA, you need more mA power to get there. Look to the 2800 mA

It runs 2 324 boards at 320watts. I had a issue with a board before they said had to use plastic washers and I remember it running one board at 160w when this happened but that was without turning driver down. I think I'll do what pop said and just buy a 150h-54, thanks fellas!

15W/ sq ft I have a 320H to use for them but I decided to see what the light would do at this power level just for giggles lol
Wow only 15 watts / sq foot? Wowa -- I'm impressed. What type of yields do you see?

Yes it does. Check out the voltage ranges on the meanwell PDF data sheets.
Honestly I don't know what I'm looking at. Maybe I'll just use both boards turned down to 160w total on the 320 driver since it's just a side project to run through some seeds in a small tent.

You need a Meanwell driver with this designation on it: HLGxxxh-Cxxxx, these have the high voltage ranges needed to run the V1 QB324/304

I'm running a single QB324 V1 on a GHL185h-C1050 for about 120 watt. A 185h-C1400 would take you to the max for this board, 160 watts. And this driver last i checked was still only about $52.00

This is the first time running this low. The 240H was a substitute for a 320H that failed. I was going to swap it out after veg but said what the hell lol.
