DIY with Quantum Boards

Can you guys post hang distance/watts/boards you've been using?

I threw some well rooted clones and seedlings about 10" under mine at 150w (split over 4 boards) and it seems like a bit too much, raised the light to see if they will pick back up.

well, i contemplated not mentioning this, but you don't neglect to mention negative results in an experiment.

View attachment 3937978 this is what happens if you forget to save a setting on your buck converter and the power goes out. when it comes back on, it just goes to an "open" state, so these ran at 4.5 amps and 60 volts for about 5 minutes before they melted.....soooo, i remembered to save a setting on the buck converter, replaced the bad leds, and we're back in business...(and not to make it sound like i'm a genius working alone, i spent a good long time asking my friend for advice, and getting a lesson in why i'm a dumbass, and how to check each one for continuity and uniformity)
Been looking at that PCB, I think it would work better if you increase the pad under the LED so it sticks out a bit into those clear island parts, then just reduce the width of the wide bits in between, this should pull more of the heat away from the LED's With the common LED drivers' voltages you need 3mm max between pads.

I would also use resistors on each "string" to even the current draw between all the strings, otherwise, the chips with the lowest impedance are going to pull more current than the rest and burn out in the long term.

One of my plants under a 260 watt kit started to wilt when it got to around 8" from the boards. I raised it up to 18" away and it it started to pray to the ligths again. I have 2 plants under a 90 watt board with 2 mars hydro 300's and there are no issues at 12".

I also noticed the 90 watt board was too much for my clones and seedlings at 24 inches.

I'm running my 4 QB light at 85 watts per board. I raised them to 30 inches in veg. As the plants grew, at 18" it was too much and started to light burn. Keeping them at 20" Plants are loving the light!

Stupid timer though........ thought I had these on 12/12 5 days ago.......... nope! Didn't set it correctly apparently. Got it right now.
Moving the autos to a closet today. Been off my feet for a few days, messed up a toe real bad, thought I was going to lose it..... no fun!

What do the leaves at the bottom look like?

I tore off my big toe when I was 9, was a massive long operation to reattach it.
I kicked a boy during some rough housing after wrestling practice, who then collapsed with his knee right between my toes, Tore the big toe off to the side, was just hanging by some skin, bone sticking out the whole works.
Good as new today.

Don't know about the bottom leaves, going to defoliate to day anyway. I've not dom=ne much with them. Just got over the flu when I sliced my toe so they're lucky to even have been given nutes...... Res was dry a couple days ago.

So he is running 4 boards at 85 watts or about

4 x 85 watts = 340 watts? Will that take in SE 1000 watt HPS?

Or two of your $268 twp boards is better? What is the correct web site for that two board rig? I go to North grow Lights and I think you are phasing that site down???
