Dna - Lemon OG

Suup, Back after a lengthy hiatus with another Dna strain.. lemon og. Made of OG#18 and Lemon skunk.
There will be no bailing on this grow for any reason, I now have no dealer so if i want to smoke I'm gonna have to grow it.

Currently the grow is on day 7 of 70 of flowering. I put her in flower really early after 14 days because I thought it might stretch a lot because of the skunk in it. Unfortunatley I have a feeling she is slowing down her stretch after just 1 week, but I may be wrong.

I'm growing it in stuff which is basically like miracle grow, with 4 months of food in it. She has so far sprouted and grew like an absolute champ. Definitley seems like a keeper even at this early stage. Very smelly too, can smell her from upstairs sometimes but I have no odour control going on at the min.

day 9 of 12/12 up to 17 inches tall now

Just a note on this grow, I have not used any form of air circulation within the closet yet, and have been dividing the flowering stage between a 250 watt hps and a 250 watt blue spectrum cfl, so she gets around 6 hrs cfl blue and 6 hrs hps . This is mainly to keep the heat down in the closet. Seems to be working really well so far. I will probably add a bit of air circulation once the buds start to get dense. But just to dispel the myth, the plant has grew fine so far with no fan, and the branches are as sturdy as they have always been with a fan. Brownian motion, google it.

I've had good results with DNA/RP stuff with the exception of rocklock I've grown skywalker, lemon skunk, og kush & holy grail you should do good here they now have their gyo line of seeds & offer skywalker-x- lemon skunk I'm wanting to try

I thought their sharksbreath was rubbish but anything with one of their kushes or lemon skunk in it is going to be great.

This is day 12 of flower she is really taking off right now, she grew about 3 inches last night. Up to 23 inches now. Looks like she is going to have a really great bud to leaf ratio (as advertised).

Wasn't a big fan on the flavor of the og18 but the lemon og was decent. Skywalker was my favorite by dna/rp.
Anyways you should start seeing some flowers forming in a week or so once that stretch slows. Good luck

wow, Lots of votes for skywalker, will do that next!. have to say I've had my eye on it in the past. I got a few g's of it from a dealer a while back and the high was magnificent.

It's all preference! Skywalker grew into an even canopy without any topping and it had a great smell to it. But that's a subjective topic.
Regardless the lemon og yielded well, and was potent! I just wasn't a fan of the smell primarily. It did grow tall and wide with fat greasy nugs on every budsite. Im sure you will enjoy it when it's all said and done haha

I'm sure I will, thanks for the input yoda, always great to have someone experienced with the strains to chime in :)

Had her out for a watering earlier and took this snap. Not many, but big wide leaves and nice branching and structure letting the light through. No burns and no defs yet , very easy to grow so far. Hope it continues to be this easy.

I was given a "freebie" from DNA genetics once...Silver LA(Silver Bubble × LA Confidential)... Coulda been a twin to this plant round same stage of growth...same structure...color...branching...all that...Good lookin plant...Good genetics

yeah, that's one thing about dna , they have all the best cuts you can't go wrong with a lot of their stuff.

ok this is day 15 now of 12/12 she has shot up to 30 inches tall, crazy stretch, i'm gonna have to look at tying her now soon if she keeps going.

This is also where i need some opinions from more experienced growers, the newest growth, about the top 2 sets of latest fans are presenting as light green with yellow tips. Under the hps it is far more noticable, you can really see the lack of green pigment compared to the lower leaves, almost blotchy.

cal/mag? she looks well fed otherwise... maybe it's just because the leaves haven't fully developed yet?

My guess is not fully developed yet...I'm thinking if it was a deficiency of some sort it would start at the bottom...Those leaf tips pointin down is a red flag that somthin is up but nothin to b too concerned abt...
She should stop stretchin any day now btw...

OK thanks guys, I'll just keep giving her water. Yeah, the potting mix i used was not the best choice i've ever made. " contains feed for 4 months of growth". Pretty much red hot miracle grow type stuff. It just goes to show what a tough strain this is, many other strains would have just fried.

Hahaha yeah I grew in some soil similar to that before. I tried to flush it like other soils and it just never happened. My plants were green til the end. But I didn't start flushing until a couple weeks before chop.
I think it's a good choice to feed plain water for a bit
