Do all plants go through the "flowering stretch"?

I flipped these girls (three of 'em) a few days ago and am about to learn first hand how this strain (Barney's Farm Liberty Haze) stretches. A member on here, who has been great with the advice, has grown this strain before and gave me some good advice around strain specific stretch. Like the guys above said, i'm hoping to learn how this strain grows so I can do it better next time :) The MH (600w) bulb is still in there and will be until the stretch starts to slow down - I'm hoping at about two weeks - though I'm told LH can really reach for the stars and for a bit longer.

I can't wait to see what happens over the next two to three weeks!

How long does it take to get Barney's seeds from order to mailbox? They have a couple strains I'd like to try running. I'm 4 weeks into a grow, a good time to start looking ahead to what to run next...(you're in US, right?)

LSD as an example.I buy from OASeeds. Based in Spain and they fly through O'Hare.

I got Tangerine Dream seeds from OASeeds in 10 days. Rural delivery here too.

I couldn't tell you, I'm afraid, the seeds came from a local source. Both the strain reports and the word from those who have grown it, LH is a very potent plant...

that pic is brighter than it looks
they look ok but you have to do a few more crops before you can really say leds are good, i have been growing for the last 10 years and have done more than 50 crops

in order to get good sized buds we need good tight internodes and even with that there will be noticeable stems , once the buds are drying and shrivel up 75 percent of the mass
to get big colas its going to take a good strain, and wattage althoigh people are getting decent sized nugs with 600's 1000's are the bad boys on the block 600 watts are more effcient watt per watt but this does not mean 600 's are better ..
there is a reason why 1000's are pulling 2.5 - 3 pounds per light and 600's well below that amazing when you think about what the difference 400 watts can do

Its knowing the strain and amount of stretch believe it or not over 70 percent of the actual plants life is stretch its learning how to use View attachment 3526339 View attachment 3526341 View attachment 3526343 the stretch to your benefit
I do use the stretch to my benefit, just saying it can be hit and miss, there just so many verbals that control what plant and what part of the plant streches the most

just like my last plants, try to get all 4 plant to grow 4 main shoots each all level at the end of the strech, a couple of the shoots was shorter than the rest and the buds ended up a little smaller, just diffcult to get it spot on every time

Thanks Darth, I'm doing what I can - this is my first grow - I've pinched a few branches to bend them a bit, and tried to train it all under the screen. I've learned how tough this plant can be and I'm more confident so I will train, top, etc the next grow a lot more and earlier on in veg. I've made a few mistakes, broken branches off, too... heh. I think I've done all I can at this point it's just down to the lights and nutrients and luck

Yeah, I know of a couple strains that don't stretch. They were bred for that and come with 24/0 veg. instructions which I'm not crazy about. Plants photosythesis creates stored energy during the day that is released at night. 24/0 doesn't let that happen which is what the breeder wants for what ever botanical reason/theory he is using.

don't know what to say, your plants look overwater as the leaves have dropped and your tell me you been growing for 39 years
That would be somewhat dependent on where one is in their watering cycle, no? And you can't see much in discolored pictures. Neither can I. You actually have to hold them in your hand and look at them.

what you talking about, from the picture I can see a lot of streched shoots, untrained plants and one of them is overwatered or really underwater.

you can tell a lot from a picture

my plants 11 days in flower 12/12

6 plant stadium setup, very bushy level plants, even canopy, no large gaps between the nodes, plants well spaced
made the best use of the sweet spot from the 600w hps, good size plants, should grow to 15" over the next week ( 12" colas with no gaps)
heathy green plants

should completely fill the room without overcrowding the plants

Right. Cheers, I was thinking of doing something closer to that time frame with my next grow

I'm thinking it's tougher than you think, but believe whatever settles your mind. 41 years teaches one that you can't positively 'diagnose' from a picture. You can 'guess' if you like.

you can say what ever you want too but a picture will alway give you a good ideal of the skill the grower has

the facts are, your plants are not trained in any way to get the best yeild from the light
one of the plants in over watered or really underwatered

that picture tell me you don't know much about growing or you just did'nt care about that crop ( maybe other problems in your life)
