not really.. just because the trustafarian's moved into the poor hoods to be cool, like the hipsters still do, that doesn't make them the same as those poor. Ken Kesey, although i love the pranksters is a good example of what was wrong, Leary too; these guys came from money, college educated, and petteled open conciousness by use of drugs.. how can you use them as examples of helping our society? don't get me wrong, i love a good rainbow family sid, but that don't make it good for society.. the black panthers did not work with those hippes, they where created as a way to help the poor blackpopulation stay united and have protection from white america..

your fighting a lost fight here bro; i can name some good people (the weathermen) that came out of those times, but the vast majority where just rich whinny little fucks looking to get high.. :/ hell most of those war protesting hippies happened in the summer, on their college breaks!!

You have no idea what you're talking about. That is not what the Haight movement was about at all. Thinking like that is what destroyed the haight movement and is what is going to destroy the occupy movement, and turn it into another "bunch of violent hippies on drugs that have no agenda." Take a step back and read the shit that you post.
Try reading again.
You said "This is the kind of thinking that will make Occupy have no goals"
What is Occupy? What are their goals?
ANY change, would be in some direction, and would be a true MOVEMENT, just like in Haight. When shit got bad, everyone around the country got involved.
Even the peace, love, no guns people got on board, and even took back over in the 60's, after haight ashburry got bad. :dunce:

Occupy is a peaceful protest that is supposed to show the aggression of the US government. If the occupiers get violent we are no better than the government. Remaining peaceful, despite what the government does shows true power and shows that the government is weak. Fighting fire with fire is exactly what the government wants us to do. You are falling into their trap and you don't even realize it. What was the end result of the Haight movement when shit got violent... NOTHING CHANGED... we got RAEGAN a decade later, those who don't study their history are doomed to repeat the past.

I never said anyone had to get violent.
AGAIN, read it again.

I said things have to get bad.
And they kinda already did.

The police were/are macing people in the streets :dunce:

That's exactly what we want. The more they mace people doing nothing, the worse they look. If the occupiers continue to peacefully protest and get attacked, who looks like the bad guy? If the occupiers begin to attack back, then the government can spin it anyway they want.

So now YOU'RE saying exactly what I said.

You keep using that reply to everyone, but it's not true. You said you wanted it to go down like it did in the 60s on Haight at the end. I'm assuming you weren't there if you thought it was peaceful by the tail end... here's a hint, it wasn't. If occupy turns into the next Haight movement then the occupy movement will mean nothing.

Buck really did say the same thing I said "The corporation takes all responsibility, while the owners stay safe financially"

And you are saying the same thing as me:
I said "Things have to get worse, before they get better."
You took that as something I had nothing to do with saying in the least.
Then said "Yeah, we need them to keep macing us while we don't do anything."

I didn't word it quite as much like a retard as you, but I said the same thing "Things have to get worse, before they get better." :dunce:

Now, quit trying to further an argument, that we are on the same side of.

Wow... So true!

I am a contractor and sometimes do work getting foreclosed homes ready to be resold! Put aside the whole mortgage BS, while sad many people lose their homes to the banks.... Even more sad is that these home sit for months/years and just go to shit and the banks just write them off! Best thing the banks could have done is allowed the owners to stay and make $10 payment, as at least them being there would have kept the value of the home up and the banks would not have spent $$$ over and over for the same old lock changes, winterizations, DE-winterizations, lawn care, snow removal and many more wasted $$$!

If they did that, I would not make my house payment ever again.

OK so what is FAIR?

Trust me when I say this and pics will be posted... I have seen what the homeless do to empty and abandoned homes!

YES THAT IS ALL HUMAN SHIT!

Down on their luck, out of work, addiction issues, PTSD...? Honestly I have no clue!

But before I would shit all over the house I was squatting in, I would dig me a hole in the backyard and dump my load there before filling the tub with SHIT!
