Today marks day twelve since germination, and all but one of my ladies here has shown excellent growth. As you can see from the pictures, the one 'runt' seedling is just not catching up. To hedge my bets, I started another Double Grape seed to replace the invalid seedling. Seed was started on the 1st of September, and broke ground sometime overnight. Eight of nine Stilton Special seeds have broken ground and started to stretch out a bit, and the ninth seed is poking her head out of the sand now. Replacement DG is also breaking ground currently. Tomorrow I'm going to pull the humidity dome off of the tray and let these gals get some direct light, and start to harden off a bit. That seedling mix is soggy!

Got the 3x3 up and running with the 9 Stilton Special seedlings transplanted from their tray into the three gallon pots. Same soil setup as the Double Grapes, but in smaller bags. This is very close to the Mephisto Genetics recommended plants per sqft / size of pots for their optimum yield "Auto-SOG" idea. So, we'll see how it all works out.

Here's some pics of the transplanting process, and the whole batch in their forever homes! Lol

Pics of the Double Grape girls tomorrow! Right after their first dose of compost tea.

Day 22. In 5 days most of the girls have doubled in size, or more. The largest plant is currently ~14" tall measured from the surface of the soil. Growth is great, no signs of any problems whatsoever. I've started to play with some leaf tucking over the last couple days and it shows promise. I'm going to be hitting a branch from probably two of the best looking plants to use on each other and see what happens. My re veg attempt has shown very little progress over the last three weeks. I've seen no new growth areas, and only the one small branch at the base of the plant seems to be in stasis. There was a very small bud site there but it's since yellowed and looks to be dying. I expect that I'll lose this plant sometime over the next few weeks. As long as it's still looking alive, I'll keep trying.

Thanks for stopping by!

Honestly, I messed it up. I didnt leave anywhere really for the plant to have any growth other than a very small area. I also used very diluted nutrients in the bucket instead of something high N because I didn't do enough homework evidently. Won't make that mistake again. Thanks for the kind words, @freemanjack

Well today was fun. I watered the ladies and about an hour later I see a few tiny mushrooms coming up out of the soil in one of my pots. I look closer and find a swarm of thousands (easily) of little bugs in my soil, jumping and crawling all over. Google-fu leads me first to fungus gnats, then maybe symphilids. Thankfully I have neither and these little buggers are just springtails! I thought I was in serious serious trouble. Ive been seeing one or two of them here snd there if i disturb the soil surface but nothing like this. I will probably let the girls go a few days to dry out a bit, just incase.

Seriously, if i hold a handful of my soil in my hand and it don't move on its own I start worrying, but that's just me! Looks like a dusting of diatomatious earth will keep the root eating buggers at bay, tho it might be worth trying to hunt out a few centipedes, busy little carnivores that they are! My grow space is literally home to a million species of bug and billions of microbes, they all have there place, predator and prey, symbiot and parasite. Gotta trust in momma nature not do battle with her, she will always win out, momma knows best!

Day 32! I went ahead and trimmed out a small amount of lower growth to open them up a bit and make sure that I'm not restricting any airflow. I also removed some lower side branching so we're focusing all that good growth energy where it belongs.

Oh, and we've got lots of frost coming on already! It really does smell like grape candy! I think I'll always be amazed at the range of smells and flavors this plant can produce.

Here go the pics. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as I do!

healthy grow

Can you bring the reflective walls closer to the plants, or vice versa?.........please don't use no pest strips with cannabis if you plan on inhaling the end product.

good luck
