I don't read but I've read that book twice it's amazing how close they kept the story. Enjoy it sure on weed usually.

Great movie, although I would suggest it's easier to relate to if you've ever experimented with mind-altering substances.

First time I saw that movie was also the first time I did mushrooms, it was sweet, intense....but sweet!

When I first met my wife her Facebook quote was "we can't stop here, it's bat country" I knew I had a keeper.

I found it fun when we watched it at school with some beers and a bottle of ether, but as I grew up the novelty of the film rapidly wore off and I just consider it meh

What year was it when that went down giggles? My first trip was in the winter of 04/05, I'm not so sentimental that I wrote down the day, but around then. I've watched F&L several times since, and its always a crazy trip in my experiance. I need to watch it o acid next time I get some :).

The title needs to be changed to "the first time I did shrooms was watching "fear and loathing." I "remember" spacing out watching this green glass manaquin head with a candle behind it cast weird shadows on the wall, then looking back to the minute to see the lizard humping scene in the lounge. I was like, "Um... what is this movie about again? "

I first read this book in 1978. about a year after it was first published. I was 11 yrs old in catholic boarding school. I officially give it sole credit for beginning my fascination with and curiosity about the "drug culture". The movie really does follow the book very well.
