We are to follow them individually. Not force them on others.

You can find violence in the bible.

Various reasons for it but it is not hard to pull scripture in the old testament or revelations.

A discussion would be worth having if you are serious about learning.
are you willing to follow your own advice ?

Can people actually discuss topics here without resorting to name calling?

Posting one or two passages of the Bible does not work. You have to view the text as a whole, consider the times, and realize that some books are to be read as lessons of people in the past. A history, a guide, a interwoven tapestry of prophecies, laws, and futures.

It is a complicated subject. Something that require reading on both sides.

Are you willing to do that to back up your claims? I find most people post links to anti Christianity websites. They cherry pick passages and ignore the chapter it comes from.

Searching on a site that contains all the translations would be reputable. A hate site not so much.

That is the no true Scotsman fallacy. The KKK is a Christian terrorist group.

Is this because you say so ? Is this because you read it or heard it ? I`m a Christian and reject everything they do and teach, so now you are stuck because I can find so many more like me. This leads me to believe that you have two sides to believe and that does not make it so in anyone`s book of say so.

So what do you tell the Christians that challenge everything the KKK stands for ?

Wait... you reject racism and treating blacks like inferiors?

Pretty sure I saw one or two members calling you racist.

Did you have a disagreement?

The KKK are and were composed of people who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. They aim to keep black people in line and hurt Catholics to maintain a country dominated by white Protestants.

Do you think the IRA aren't Christians?

Where did Jesus state this in the Bible? I am quoting directly from the Bible, Jesus wanted his followers to keep the old laws.

. I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil — He fulfilled in himself all those predictions of the prophets which had been uttered Concerning the Messiah, and he explained, illustrated, and established the moral law, in its highest meaning, both by his life and doctrine; and by his merits and Spirit he provided, and still provides, for its being effectually fulfilled in and by his followers. Our Lord has taught us, that all the law and the prophets are comprehended in these two precepts, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, &c., and thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself,Matthew 22:40. St. Paul also informs us, that he who loves his neighbour as himself, hath fulfilled the law, Romans 13:8; and Galatians 5:14, that all the law is fulfilled in this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself; this love of our neighbour being only found in those who first love God, and being closely connected with, and indeed never separated from, the love of God. Now our Lord was manifested in the flesh, and made a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins, that he might give us such a demonstration of his love, and the love of the Father to us and all mankind, as might produce in us those returns of love to God and man, which God should be pleased to accept as the fulfilling of the law. Therefore we read, Romans 8:4, That God sent his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit.

---

The law is the ethic and moral character we are supposed to follow (Christ is the law in flesh) to please god.

Love thy neighbor as yourself, he said.

2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,4so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit

Exactly.

You don't want to discuss it. You want to belittle it.

Some here say they can know what a Christian is but they really don't because they are not willing to discuss it.
you're right. I feel religion is create by men to control other men.
In order for me to except religion I would have to except that god was cool with slavery.
The bible was not written by god, but by men. Full of contradictions and lies

When debating about who is a christian, you need to know what a Christian is.
