But i cant fit most the 250w hps hoods in there. The 150 I can cut 4" exhaust in it....Think im diffidently gonna wait for leds to get a little more common. My budget for a light is 130 bones...Im up to any suggestions. I seen a 20" x 18" piece of glass at work today that im gonna try and buy from my boss. Thinking about mounting the glass directly under the cfls. I have 2 80mm fans blowing directly on the lights atm. with that glass it should push the heat right over to the filter....in theory....Gonna upload some new pics in cpl mins...peace and fire!
Neither could I, I just cut the reflector down, it's one of those euro wing bendy reflectors, you can just take a pair of scissors to them :) I got my 250 for £60 including ballast, reflector, cables and bulb. But that glass Idea will work, it'll make it a bit more difficult to adjust the lights though.

Thanks MAN!!! I was starting to think i was doing something wrong!! Im gonna clean the reservoir tomorrow and put my flower nutes in and set the timer to 12/12:)
Here is her Flower diet. Got the 1 gallon jugs all ready to go:)View attachment 2154817

Thanks for the rep:)....Peace and Fire!
for the first few weeks of flower I like to use some veg nutes and then do 50veg 50flower 2 weeks in then on the 3rd week go to 100% flower nutes, this seems to help keep them a bit shorter during the stretch phase and minimizes the chance of Nitrogen def in flower (which happens a lot : )

Nice CFl Grow you got there :)

I definitely follow this one

How you wired your PC Fans? (think to get a old PSU, i have 3 Fans in my case that mean i need 3 12V Transformator, 3 more cables to wire around )

There hooked up to a computer power supply thats in my stealth cab. Page 2 has some info and pics on how to jump your power supply so it will turn on with out being in the computer. Im going to b.buy tomorrow to get some fan controllers. Beauty of using a power supply is a that its so damn easy to hook things up. I was just telling someone whos hooked on old adapters about how you can buy ANY fan, controller, water cooling etc etc and all you do is plug and play. Thanks for stopping in. If your confused about the power supply just youtube-jump power supply;). I have a total of 7 fans going in my cab atm.

randoms 084.jpgrandoms 085.jpgI got these fans out of a xbox intercooler and hooked them on the pvc inlet. The inlets run down then under the cab on the back to bring in cool air.

I'd consider adjusting your lighting rig. More CFLS, and all of them closer to the plant. stretch could be scary in flower, and C99 isnt known for its thick stems hehe. I expect c99 F2s have even worse stem structure.

Dude her stem right at the top has gotten pretty damn big. Im prolly gonna leave the lights the way they are as im just useing this free seed from attitude to see my results, then tweak for my dutch blueberry and ministry northern light.

Stem pics:)

just trying to help. If its a test, its a test. no better way to learn than by doing. CFL intensity tapers off drastically past 4 inches if they are under 30 watts. one person has already noted that you might see 3 times vertical stretch during flower, which will make for a nice top single bud, but wont allow for any light to penetrate to lower canopy and produce.

My thoughts exactly man...Do you think the sunlight 150 would get to hot? I see pics where people have them 6 inchs from plants and reporting 86*....but then others say its gonna get way to hot. siiiggghhh

Edit: Didnt even think to suggest this...How i manage to hold off the stretch is by trimming leaves covering to much top area. You must be careful with this and should always use the the rule once its gone its gone. so dont over trim. I have been taking 2 leaves a night from this monster and still for every one i cut theres 4 that replace the gap i created.

randoms 124.jpg....Brown stuff on roots is "tarantula micro bacteria"....works well but makes your roots look rotten:(

for those who want to go cheap, an AT power supply from an ancient 286, to 486 dinosaur PC features a simple on/off mechanical relay switch (a button) and delivers several low amp 12 volt connections. average cost: $1 at a garage sale or free in a rubbish heap.

Great idea man.

I'm diggin on this grow.

how big is your dwc reservoir, are you using a bubble pump or top recirculation?

I started mine from seed on 4/20 and they are only about 3 inches high now, under ~78 watts of florescents (tubes and cfls both) i keep waiting for growth to spike, but it's been pretty slow going.

The res. in mine is 3.5 gallons. I got a water pump and a air stone in it. You should get some superthrive hormones. That will def give them a spurt.
thanks for stopping in man. I got lots of pics on here man...start looking:)
