Dyna-Grow Questions

Ok, in my first expereince with Dyno-Grow nutes I used there Protekt,Grow, and Bloom and nothing else on some clones of mine. I experienced some bump in the roads with yellowing and slow flowering blooming on some of my girls. I now have 10 clones that are vegging that have been given only Protekt and Dyna-Grow. Can i continue giving these clones just grow and protekt through the flowering stage and have a bumoper harvest? will this delay them budding? or effect my yield if i leave out the Bloom?
Grow and protekt together work great in promix. If your plants are young, you should be using about 1/4 tsp of 'grow' per gallon. When they're older (flowering and 2+ feet tall) you'll never need more than 1 tsp/gallon and even then, you better not be feeding them at every watering. You should not have any bumps in the road with DG or yellow leaves. There is some good info in this thread, hopefully this grow has fewer bumps.

In regards to a 'bumper harvest', that's your reward for reading plants correctly and feeding them what they need.

Hello,

I also have good things to say about Dyna-Gro. This being my first time I used Dyna's Grow, Bloom and Pro-tekt with a little floralicious plus as recommended by homebrewer in his journals. Thanks homebrewer you're the shit.

You can use dynagro the whole way through, its fine. But I would suggest using a blossom booster of some sort. such as kool bloom. Just shoot for something around a 1-3-2 npk ratio for flower. Also may want to look into a cal-mag supplement. mag-pro, has to much Phosphorus with to little potassium. calmag plus is a good formula. So is MagiCal but more expensive then calmag

I just want to add.I use Pro-Tekt at .5ml a gal.It really stables out my base, and additive nutes to a perfect 6 ph.
I just added Dyna Bloom to my regiment.I first tried .5ml to my unaltered recipe. This brought down the ph to around 5.2 and I was like "Wow".I needed .25ml of PH up.I mixed another jug and used .25ml of the Bloom, and ph was 5.8.I shoot for 6 but this is ok.
I will now see if my plants like it,and the 8 oz bottle will last a long time if they do.
From little I dose with the Pro-Tekt,I can still see it's very much effect when time comes to trim.
GH Maxibloom is my base nute in passive hydro.

When your base and protekt are used in roughly the same amounts, the pH lands right at 6.0 (unless your water's alkalinity is higher than 'normal'). There should be no need for pH up or down when hand watering with DynaGro. Find the protekt:base ratio that works for you and make life easier for yourself.

Thks Homebrewer for your input.Your thread on GH/Dyna side by side, and my satisfaction with Pro-Tekt made me give the Dyna-Bloom a try.My tap is a lil high on the basic side about 7.5 ph.My nute mix with newly incorporated Dyna-Bloom as an additive falls into my parameters with no ph adjustment needed, and is an easy setup(believe me).I am just a GH guy seeing what a minute amount of the Bloom does for my garden. If .25ml per gal of the Bloom makes a stronger seed or slightly more quality bud? Then good enough for me.
I wanted to ask you HB,do you still use GH Floralicious plus?I have been thinking of using it in a late flower recipe.

DG bloom works much better in hydro than it does in the dirt. It doesn't supply enough N to keep the plants green making it essentially the best 'booster' on the market if you're in dirt/coco. I'll sneak in a shot here and there but I mostly use the 7-9-5 grow from start to finish. In regards to FLP, I use it in hydro and it's one of those things that sort of needs to be used the whole time. It's not needed but it's beneficial only in hydro (IME).

I try to keep N down in my setup.Thks for your input and the FLP 411.Incase you're wondering what my nute regiment is:
Maxibloom 3/4th tsp (5 grams), .5ml each of ,Pro-Tekt,Diamond nectar,Liquid Kool Bloom,a dash 1/16th tsp Epsom salt, and now .25ml of the Dyna-Bloom.I know it looks crazy but it is just a modified Lucas under 400 watts of floros in Hempy cup,12/12 rooted clone sog. This works for me,and takes me just minutes when jugs and nute supplies are pre lined up whith no ph adjustment.

Thoughts on FLP in coco coir? Makes a difference or not ?
