Ever think about growing? Here's why you SHOULD

Thank you, you've posted studies that show cannabinoids can be used to cure cancer. Some of those are endocannabinoids, naturally occurring in the body. But, you've got it on the right track. That, and not making the claim that it's a cure-all is all I ask.

The schizophrenia, C. Indica may cause it to present in people who have a predisposition toward it. But, it 100% does NOT cause it, ever. That is a distinction the studies don't make, but should. C. Indica, smoked or consumed, reacts to CB1 and CB2 receptors, those receptors cannot cause schizophrenia, but their activation can cause symptoms that were dormant to present.

Hash oil is good, but not magical. A lot of research needs to go into it. And, technically both of you are right at this point. Patient b in your scenario is 100% cured of cancer but still dies of it.

BTW, neither see4 or I disagree with legalization, medical use, or the curative powers of weed. It's really dangerous to shotgun praise, though, as that allows the other side to do the same, and point to us as an example of why the argument or style of presentation is legitimate.

It can be fun and rewarding. You can learn how to get the best quality from the specific strains that appeal to you most. You wind up saving a lot of money because in the long run, it is a very inexpensive plant to cultivate even when done on a small scale indoors or out. More and more studies and evidence show that there are potential medical benefits. Other evidence shows that it can be a safer and less harmful alternative to other legal substances such as alcohol and tobacco.

It can also be a real adrenaline rush in most states and countries because you could go to jail at any moment. In fact, since it still is Schedule One, who can really be sure in the USA?

Films such as The Union and When We Grow (both on YT) are very good documentaries that talk about the uses of cannabis, the money behind it, the growing acceptance medical use, and so on. They are important pro-legalization documentaries that you've listed as well. Two more recent documentaries are more focused on the War on Drugs: Breaking the Taboo and The House I Live In. Unfortunately, these are not available on YT. I really wish people could/would see these films. They show the harsh reality of this war - fought on our home land since before Nam. I created a thread about these films in the Legalization section. If that should be a sticky I'm down with that. It would be better if I had links to all the films, or if there were some additional legalization documentaries posted there.

I really think the fight should be about ending the war, or at least ending prohibition on mj and trying to figure out how to better deal with the rest. In the meantime, more people will use it for medical reasons and more research can be done.

Now if you want a sticky for the Hemp Oil Cure or whatever in some other section, I'm down with that too if it would contain that discussion. Quite honestly, I think it is the wrong direction to take. The minute you hint at miracle cure, you'll attract all sorts that want to shoot you down with conflicting studies or just by being a jerk, and/or you'll attract those looking to patent and profit or else shut you down if they can't.

But even if I believed in the cure, I think it is like fighting the war (against the war) on too many fronts. Push for legalization (growing), and if it turns out to be a miracle cure, that will just be a bonus - we will get all the benefits once it is legal and there is no war on weed.
