Good point about the tomatos, i grow them and seem to apply the same lollipopping principals by prunning the suckers to encorage the bigger tomatos, i was under the impression that the weight of yeild would be similar wether pruned or unprunned (tomatos that is).

I have a lollipopped plant at the moment and the topp buds look a lot bigger than if i didn't lollipop it or strip the bottom growth off. I'd rather have bigger top buds than a load of popcorn at the bottom. I had no choice to lollipop at the moment on a few plants as whitefly have moved in and took most of my bottom leaves, natures pruners! They have given me bigger top buds though so almost a shame to get rid of them.

I am definatly sold on this lollipopping i would say, seems like i am gona see good results from it. Peace

does nobody find it humerous that the uncle ben thread was closed down and fdd made a thread about topping.. why not just leave the original thread open? Guess RIU needs a new toppin guru..


regardless of reasoning for closing the definitive topping thread and starting a new one, some good info in here, but same info that was in the other thread, minus the cat poop ..

i started this thread after ANOTHER MOD closed UB's thread.

there were people in UB's thread who still had questions.


why is nobody bashing the MOD who actually closed UB's thread??????

you got negative rep for making a false accusation. no trolling involved.

if you don't care about rep why aren't you addressing the fact that it wasn't me who closed UB's thread? i thought your concern was over UB's thread, not rep.

that would pretty much be every thread i post in.

this is an actual grow related, info thread. look where everyone has taken it.

yet the blame keeps falling in my lap. and year after year, ... i deal with it.

i'm such an EVIL person. :fire:
