First CFL grow purple jems in PC case

I will try and journal my first ever grow and CFL grow. I am a med patient so am legal but thought for fun I would do a PC grow. I set it up like I have seen other pics. I have 3 CFL's 1-36w, 1-32w, and 1-26w. I have a micro bubble grow tub, 2 fans 1 pulling in and 1- 7 or 8" exhaust fan. I used a cheap sunshade for reflectors inside. I can give a total cost in a couple days. Probably somewere under $150 including a new PC case. Here are a few pics. The little ones are a week from sprouts. They are purple jems so autoflowering and should be ready in like 9 weeks or so.

are those cfl's plugged straight into a power bar?

yeah I seen someone else do it with some socket adapters they got from walmart. They seem to work really well.

yeah man, at wal-mart they sell little plug thingies for 97c per.

Man my plants don't look so good I got some things to change. I think I put them in rockwool too soon from soil. I dropped the sprout in some soil for 1 week then to the hydro set up. I think it was too soon and I had the net pot too far into water and the wool was staying much too wet. I took them out of the bubble tote for maybe a day or so to help dry things out. Here are some pics of how they look now with my new tote. I also removed 1 light of the 3 it was freakin bright in there. Would have been much better to wait 2+ weeks in the soil

I've don't know a lot about dwc grows but you should check out CrazyTrains first grow on RIU. he had a PC case and a dwc grow. that might help you out plus you could ask him a few questions. He's pretty good at PC grows.

hope not im using the same set up for mine but didnt start in hydro started in soil it was a little shock for them at first and they are still getting used to it but mine are looking great so far check your ph or are you using any nutes at all if not thats yor problem and also if there not getting enough air they will wilt badly also try moving them into a smaller but taller tote like an icecream one thats a gallon and a quart they sell at walmart so not only do you get to grow but but eat bad ass ice cream haha keep us posted dude love to see pics to see if i could help farther

yeah I hope they don't die it will be 1 week in the hydro tonight. I should have left them in soil till tonight LOL I am learning though

Hi. Hows it goin guys. I just got 2 males from a friend of the purple jem's. I'm going to harvest the pollen so we can make more seeds. I will be subing this and +rep for ya. Love it when peeps try the new stuff. Don't be afeard be a pioneer.

same here tool my link is my first grow so far but they seem to be doing good in they hydro for me lets see some pics when you get the chance

I ended up throwing out the 2 plants in hydro they were gonna die for sure. The soil plant is doing OK it is only about 1" tall and has 4 sets of leaves. I should have had general hyrodponics nutes in the water for the bubble system a guy from another forum told me. I also should have waited another week before putting into hydro. I guess there is a system for adding the GH nutes that keeps the PH at the correct level. For no I will stick with soil till I get my grow room finished LOL

Just so you don't keep having problems in the future, and so you know the ph requirements for dirt and hydro are different. Here is a chart I use to keep things good in my garden

Yeah I was fighting mine for the longest time. Then I switched to GH nutes from fox farm and that helped a lot.
