good job....
i gt a very similar setup....
250w HPS... 12-16" from plant tops.... 10" fan.... 8-23w cfl's
heat's under control at the moment but as summer approaches ill have 2 hook up more fan's
cheers bud, i got an extra fan now too just to control the temps during the day time.

I'm really loving this growing buisness it becomes quite addictive:lol:

i hear that transplanting will cause your plant to stall for a few days... prob just a normal case of adjusting to the new environment
yeah i think thats what it was and you can see from the pics they are looking so much better.

oh bud i was cheaking out your grow thread and it looks pretty impressive. i really like the airponic system.

do you think it is harder to get right then soil or a flood and drain system?

So onto the latest update. Thats us on day 17 and the babies are really coming along.

i'm running on 1/3 strength nutes, i'm planning on going to half strengh in a few days.

let me know what you think :bigjoint:

lol how cool is that. My lights are still at 15 inch but i think i'm going to drop them tonight, i got a new fan so i can keep the temps down.

i've been checking my ph but not my PPM i'm planning on emptying and refilling the tank from empty to keep the nute strength right.

can't wait till my plants are as big as yours:-P

dude... if you use distilled water then you wont half to worry about your ppm as much plus you can add a little extra nutes without worrying of burning your plant... as long as its a diverse selection of nutes and your not over powering the water with the same nute

I used 5 gallons of distilled water and had a ph of 000 untill i stuck a gallon of britta water in... brought my ppm up to 60 or so... but my tap water is 250 ppms ruffly and britta brings it down to 200 or 130 depenings on the day i filter it because the water has a different ppm each day

I’m new to this forum but I’ve been reading lots of posts and thought it was about time to start my own grow journal. This is my very first ever grow, I’ve thought long and hard about how I want to go about growing and finally decided on the following setup.

  • · 1 x 250 watt (HPS) Lighting system
  • · 1 x Gro Tank 205 NFT System (27.5 x 15.25 x 7.25")
  • Home made ventilation system
  • Seeds – ICE
  • Room temp 75 – 85F
  • Humidity 56%

I’ve attached some pics of the grow room when seedlings were 4 days old. This is my first time so please let me know what you think. I want to give them the best possible environment.

Tomorrow will be the 7th day and 6 of them are looking ok, I think. I’ll post the latest pics tomorrow.
yo man, looks great make sure you can get the 250 watter closer to the plants when in seedlings, vegetative stage. I'm a curious toker, what's the motherboard for?

well i wanted veriable speed fans and was looking for a cheap and easy method of doing it. I had loads of 120mm pc fans and a some spare mother boards to run them. basicly the mother board is there so i can power my fans and the controller it also keeps power consumtion down to a min. It works pretty well and i can have the optionof incorperate active temp control at a later date.

here is a quote from a sight i came across:

Ice seeds are the winner of the 1998 Cannabis Cup. It is a new classic with high THC and brings together excellent genetics. Its flowers are intensely covered with white crystals. Ice seeds are excellent for hydroponic growing. The smoke is sweet and the stone very heavy. A special cross of Afghan, Northern Lights, Skunk and Shiva. Ice is an excellent commercial strain due to the fact it remains short, harvests big and is very strong. Its one of our favourites. Need we say more.
