We're growing ice, i think we've got a good 8 to 10 weeks before harvest. What do you think about the light, i'm thinking it's alittle small the light doesn't seem to get to the lower leaves?

true i was thinking a 400W would be enought, because the temps are looking good just with the 250W.

i was really just needing a bit more light penetration. :bigjoint:

also maybe changing from an NFT to flood and drain seems like a better system.

What are your thoughts?

You might run into the same problem I had when I did a hydro grow with 4 white widow plants. I had them each in a 5 gallon dwc setup, and with my 250w hps they got real big like yours, but them I only got good buds on the top of the plant and seemed like a low yield considering the size they were overall.
I'd definitely suggest getting a 400w, if you go bigger you will have to rework your ventilation because the others get quite a bit more hot.

ok so it's been one hell of a busy week full of drama. we nearly had a serious water shortage.

i was freaking out when my awsum awsum flatmate came to the rescue. :bigjoint:

anyway heres the latest pics.
The buds are really filling out nicely, the branches are starting to sag under the weight. I'm definatly going to tie my plants up this weekend.

comments and thoughts wellcome.

water shortages suck!
flowers make anyone happy haha

so true man.

It's really difficult to change the water on the system i have now too, because the resivour is attached to the grow bed, so stupid because i can't change the water with out moving the plants. That was fine when they were small but now that their all grown up. It's not so easy.

i'm definatly going to adapt the system so it's got a seperate tank then a can stick in a much bigger growbed too. :bigjoint:

hey guys, it's been ages since the last post and the plants have just streched so much. We're really running out of space now, so we tied a couple of the girls back to make room, seems to have done the trick in getting the light to the lower branchs.

Let me know what you guys think.

Anyway enjoy the pics guys.

yea thats what i thought with my bucket method in hydroponics cause i gota lift my plants up out the bucket put them ina nother one and than back track to make sure my plants get fresh water every week and that the buckets are clean.

They are real heavy even my big one. but i have to do it. all bout puttin down a method.

Plants lookin nice mate nodes are real stretched out :bigjoint:

Yeah man they get heavy as they grow up. i'Ve definatly got a system going now thou where i keep plant movment to a min.

Do you favour one hydroponics method over another? Because i'm going to be changing my system after this grow, i want to make a more informed choice as to what to move on to.

The buds are really getting bigger some of the smaller ones have started to grow into one another to form a super buds. :bigjoint:

I'll try get a photo update on tomorrow to let you see what i mean.

peace :leaf:

A few of the pistals have turned amber so i've started to flush with just distiled water too.

Does anyone know how long i should flush for? I'm not sort of in the bark about this bit of the grow.

Let me know what you guys think.
