I'm going to let them go as long as possible. What worries me the most is my second plant has no trichomes yet......

Gonna post some pics of some brown spots on my plant. Its starting to creep in on the little leaves around the bud. I probably let it go too long, but I have had a hard time diagnosing it. My pH is fine....it fluctuates between 5.5 and 6.2. It might be my temperatures....but my other plant doesn't show any symptoms. It also might me a Magnesium deficiency...but I don't know how to correct that besides adding Epsom salts....which I HAVEN'T done yet. The reason I am thinking mag deficiency is I switched to regular tap water. I read somewhere tap water sometimes will lockout magnesium. I do let the water sit out for 24hrs. I was using Culligan water before. Or, it might just be natural, late into flowering change the plant goes through....I would have no idea since I am a first timer. Someone wanna weigh in?

Here are some shots

Bud shot....see the browning?

Closer shot...

Even closer....

Different view....

Shot with 2/3 of the lights off...no flash

Another shot with lights off....

I forgot to mention that my other plant is healthy as hell, but the no trichomes and very tight, leafy colas.

I also forgot to mention that the browning in the pictures you just looked at does not appear on lower larger fan leaves. These leaves are big, dark green, and look very healthy. The browning only occurs on the tops 3 main colas.

Thanks for looking!

i hope the ladies recover quickly and get back on track. raising the lights seems like a good idea, how far are they from the plants right now?

Do not add more intake fans.. Actually a simple passive intake is just fine..you need more exhaust. IMHO you need at least a 3:1 exhaust/intake ratio. If you need to lower temps, remove some/all of the intake fans and them to the top as exhaust.

Thanks for the help man. This is another perspective on things, as I have read on this site elsewhere that your intake should be 2 times the exhaust size....

I think for this grow I might leave everything as is....and if I grow in this cabinet again (mother) I will modify it somewhat. Thanks again!

Oh yeah. I want to flush 2 weeks out....maybe with some brown sugar. Can anyone tell how far out I am from harvest so I can get an idea of when to flush? I usually change out my nutrients on Monday. So this coming Monday, does anyone think I might be 2 weeks out? 3 weeks out? Today is Day 50 of Flowering....Day 39 since sex was confirmed......

Are the hairs starting to go red one by one yet? My strains usually start having a few red hairs and that is when I determine it being about ready to start the flush, take a good close look at your trichromes. Being that this is a CFL grow how does your lower growth look right now? You might consider harvesting the tops and waiting a few weeks and harvesting the lower growth later. Did you get the odor issue under control?

Well, the hairs on the lower buds are turning red....most of the hairs are red on the lowers. The top main colas, only one has some red hairs. Another has this strange leafy grow, and the other is just filled with white hairs. The trichomes are starting to turn cloudy....maybe 15% of them. I wanted to change out my nutes today....but I might just top off with some and not do a complete change if I decide to start flushing this week. I did get the odor issue under control, thanks!

Oh yeah, my second plant....remember the one that was always behind and smaller? Well, the main 2 colas are HUGE! A Lot thicker and bigger than my better plant. BUT, no trichomes and it is very leafy....but they are thick. I'm not sure if this is going to be good to smoke or not. I remember DiggityDank saying his first grow from bagseed had no trichomes.....I'll try to get a picture up....

OK, I just took a look at some trichomes today on some fans leaves I trimed around the main colas. I saw a couple amber ones, so I probably have 5% amber.....with a bunch of cloudy ones. If I want to flush 2 weeks out, does anyone think I should flush now?

I would flush now but I give it a week or so until harvest if you have 5% amber all over the plant.

OK, I took some pics real quick. Enjoy and tell me what you think!

Lower smaller bud site

Strange leafy growth on top of bud site.....

Main cola on the smaller plant with no trichomes.....LEAFY AS HELL!!!!!:wall:

Flush will start tomorrow. Probably just use Culligan water pH'd to 5.8.

When I flush, should I be concerned about the pink nutrient residue on the thick part of the roots coming out of the net pot? I have pink residue all over the net pot and the roots....obviously from the water splashing.

Also, should I just flush once, then top off with water, or should I flush, then do another flush a week out?

Thanks for looking!!!

I would say there is a good two to three weeks there, I see a good deal of white hair, wait until they look more like this all over the plant:

But also above all else watch your trichomes and judge the plant with them, do you have a loop or microscope?

Some of the tops look like they are still producing calyx, wait until production slows and they start to fatten up.
