First Grow. Blue Mystique & Bubblelicious (Auto)

i've got some auto blue mystic(2x) and auto bubblelicious(2x) from nirvana as well as some short riders (1x fem, 2x reg)also from nirvana. ordered them from single seed centre. they came in labeled individually in little baggies which i used to papertowel germ them in. so i decide to start out w/ the short riders(fem and reg) and one auto blue mystic and labeled each pot to keep track. well, now, about 5 to 6 weeks into my grow i have two small, like 2-3 inches small, plants that are budding, and two other larger plants (but still small, maybe 5-6 inches) that i was actually able to top but have yet to show any signs of sex!! i'm so confused. a part of me thinks that single seed centre kind of guesses the strain and blindly throws them into a labeled bag cause these plants aren't adding up. and after reading your string and checking your pics i'm thinking that the larger two aren't short rider regulars, but actually either a blue mystic or bubblelicious. so i'm wondering, sright now i have the lights at 18/6, should i induce flowering by switching to 12/12 or just wait it out and let them flower solo w/out inducing??? and should i email nirvana or single seed centre about this?? i could score some free seeds... ;)

It never hurts to try. If your order did get messed up, and you do have Blue Mystic and BB, I would just wait it out. They take a long time to show sex. Mine started to show sex after 5 weeks

Is your bubblelicious autoflowering? I've read a lot of them from nirvana don't. I'm kinda hoping mine don't, lol.
I'm not sure if they did or not, since this is my first grow. It took my plants 36 days to show sex. From what i read, most autoflowering plants show sex between 15-25 days.

Oh, I guess I'll be finding out soon. I see what you mean by how fast the bubble grows, it's way ahead of the sour cream now. Your plants are looking very nice, I bet you're getting excited about the harvest.

hahah, hell yeah. I can't wait. Its such a teaser seeing the plants and knowing what is to come. I had to move my two bubble and two BM outside. They were not getting enough light. I also had to tie my stems down. I replaced my water pump, and accidentally flipped my plants over :(. Had to tie them in order for them to stay straight up. Hopefully i did not hurt them.

Well here is a bummer update. I guess one of my younger blue mystic is a male. It's covered with balls. Its funny how it showed sex so fast, compared to the other ones which showed sex after 30 days. So much for feminized seeds. Here are some pictures. You can see were i had to tie the stems in order for them to stand up straight.

You're running into a recurrent problem with Nirvana genetics, they ain't what they say they are. I used their stuff a couple of times and always had issues. Like you, I contacted them and they appologized all over the place and sent replacement beans...with the same problems as the original. Free crap is still crap...you just didn't have to pay for it.

There are breeders out there with sterling reputations...Barney's Farm, Greenhouse, Soma and Sensi just to name a few...who send what you buy...not some mislabled, out of date seed. Good luck with what you have going, they look very nice, but when it comes time to reload your seed locker, look into the above breeders...or talk to a grower here who's opinion you value, and find out where their beans come from...betcha a donut it won't be Nirvana.

I would still buy from Nirvana. They have excellent costumer service. Its rare to find a company that is willing to admit to their mistakes, offer an apology, and send you over $50(USA) dollars of free seeds. But you are right about some of their genetics. I would definitely not buy BB again. Going to ty attitude next time. I heard they are giving some pretty cool freebies.

So i finally decided to switch my lights to 12/12. Hopefully that starts the budding process. I also decided to keep my remaining 3 plants under 24 hrs lights. Its a little experiment. Going to compare the results after i harvest my first and second batch.

The Attitude is a seedbank, not a particular breeder. They have dozens of different breeders to select from. I strongly reccomend you do a little research into reliable breeders, because, while I wholeheartedly agree with you on the customer service issue, I would prefer no mistakes in the first place. Anyhow, Good luck with your grow, your plants look very healthy and hopefully you'll get a decent harvest.

I'll be watching along.

thanks man. You have a pretty sick set up also. I'm going to get Violator Kush for my next grow. I'm not down with this autoflowering plants. They seem like more work then what they are worth.

Just wanted to post this up.
I am a broke college student who likes to get faded. Only problem is that i ran out of money to buy any bud. So I was doing some research online to see if you are able to smoke cannabis leafs. From what i read, most people said that it won't get you high. It would just give you a terrible headache. I decided to try this out, and fuck yeah it gets you high. I just finished smoking a kief bowl and im so freaking high of my 2 hit bowl :). I had a bag of leafs that i cut about 3 days ago. I decided to wrap them in tin foil and stick them in the oven for 1 hr at 300 degrees. It made the house smell like spices. Can't really describe the smell, but it was not good. After the 1 hr, took them out and grinded them. I got a lot of kief for a 1/4 bag of leafs.

So i need some help. Looking at my set up, would it be possible to fit one more 400 watt light bulb? The biggest issue i see with this is keeping the temperature down. I don't want my temperature inside my tent to be over 90. Its hard enough keeping it at 85. Also, would it be possible for me to grow 10 plants without running out of space? I would probably start flowering at around 3 weeks. Will roll a :joint: for every suggestion :blsmoke:

What would be the best solution for this problem? The top leafs are the only one getting most of the lights. The side ones barely get any. I was thinking of getting an extra 250 watt hps bulb to give me more light coverage. But as you can see, i have limited space and constant heat problems. Should i just get a higher watt light bulb? Would that give me better light coverage? Suggestions are welcome and needed.
