how much has it cost you to get all those cfl's ? i'd get a 250w hps and some bigger bubblers they is gonna get big

Our electric company subsides them, so they cost us 1$ for 4. in total maybe 40 bucks for the power strips and bulbs.

Yeh we need another bubbler, we had another but it broke in half.

Looking goood

where is your water level on the net pots and are u hand watering the seedlings?

Water level is 1/2 inch below the pots. The girls are in a 2x2 RW that were presoaked in ph'd water about 6.0. i've sprayed seedling's RW once since putting them in. but the RW had a significant amount of moisture.

I've always woundered should you skeewz some of water out of the RW before putting seedlings in? my reasons for thinking so are to prevent root rot. I usally leave about 1/2 the water in the RW that it soaks up. Any comment of suggestions about soaking RW???

When you sqeeze the RW you remove air pockets. salad spinners work really well or just shake 'em - read it somewhere on here

Thanks my methods of just squeezing have had 100% success but i like the sound of just shaking the excess water out.

Looking great Hydrobandits!! Are you going to flower under the cfl's too?? And do you plan to finish them in the RubberMaid??

They are looking quite healthy....and you only lost one?? Awesome!:weed:
When are you planning to go heavier with the nutes?? And do you know that you want to keep the pH under 6? 5.8 is what you want it as close to as possible. Can you get a pic of the roots?? And you never want to squeeze out the rw. The 'salad spinner' idea came from Al B. Fuct and works great--

Again, they look great-- so your probobly not looking for advice.
Okay, who's framing in the closet??:bigjoint:

Well, have fun!! Will keep my eyes open for your updates!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Your plant looks great...

I'm just getting started on my grow (bagseed... 2 seeds -both sprouted-)...
I'm sprouting them in cups atm...
They're 2 weeks old and about 4 inches tall (extreme stretching due to not having proper lighting)...

I am getting the "Bubbleponics 6 Planter Starter Kit"...
http://www.stealthhydroponics.com/product.php?xProd=16&xSec=34&jssCart=cc5ec72b16e09540841342441631b37a

Still lost on what lights to get...

I'm subbing to your grow...
Look forward to seeing more...

Thanks, our plants are growing like mad.

about your stretching, get a CFL or 2 until you get your light situation figured out and keep them 2-3 inch from plant.

before buying a pre made hydro system please look in the DIY(do it yourself) section on this site. you can construct one for about 1/2 the price.

What is your grow situation? your lights are dependent on it. HID are ideal but money, ventilation and space are factors.

Thanks for stopping by, will update tomorrow

Shit on our bagseed may have rootrot. Ill post a picture below. So far i've put a far amount of H2O2 in the container and some directly on the roots.

What else should i be doing and can a plant recover from this?

Thank you in advance

edit: I think i was over reacting. the root don't smell bad, they smell normal kinda like sprouts or celery. and after adding the H2O2 the the infected brown areas they are much whiter now. we are using general hydroponics micro nutes and it is red so the discoloration may have been from that.

Im going keep a close eye on the roots but thankfully, i think were safe for now.

So here are a few pics of the girls and an updated pic of the roots. let us know what you think about the roots and if we actually do have rot. thanks.

check the pic of this one seedling. the leaves have grown so far in triplets. in my experience leaves come in pairs but not this one. she had three cotyledons as well

BTW the seedling are 10-11 days old(from sprouting) and the other plant is 32 days old.

Your just freakin out, those roots look fine. Some roots get a brownish tint to them. Just pop open the res once in a while to let some air in and youll be fine. Those plants are looking pretty good so I wouldnt be worried
