Good to see another grower who is not afraid to be harsh on the leaves. Lol. Yeah, looks like those fatties really sucked the life out of those surrounding leaves.

Looks great!

Just started chopping and trimming up my lemon skunk girls so I'm anxious to see how your trimmed buds look. Mine are so frosty it was hard to hold them by the stems cuz they kept sticking to my hand. Check out pics of mine in my journal when you get the time bro.

Peace and good luck!

High all,

My new USB microscope finally came in and I will be able to use it to check my harvested buds. Here is a picture of the new item

and here are some sample buds I have been puffing on.

Oh yeah, tomorrow I harvest!

High all,

Well harvest day has come and gone; although I am happy to finally complete my first solo grow the weight will be a little less than I expected.

I guess I will finish up with about 5 Oz bud and 1.5 popcorn bud and about 20g of fine golden hash. I will not bother blabbing about the grow here as I have a plan to write a final summary post.

So here are some of the final plant pictures of this grow.

Some loose bud

Here is a macro shot of a sugar leaf, this I used to explain to my wife why we keep the leaves even when we do not visually see trichomes.

A quick look at the auto-top off set up for SCRoG.

I will have to finish this post later as my laptop battery is going to die. part ll coming soon..

Congratulations.
Can't wait for the finale.
How did the drowning work? Do you feel that 19 days of no oxygen was a benefit?

High all,

It's been three days since the chop and the drying buds are about a day or so from being jarred, the buds have been in darkness; 19 °C - 21 °C; 48% - 51% humidity. I am hoping to cure for about 7 - 10 days burping every day, then slam shut the jars until 4:20.

I did not get a chance to weight the trim but I was able to get about 12g of hash, not bad since I started to get tired and did not feel like shaking the damn tin any more.

Here are some pictures of my adventure:

A bag of trim and young bud

Grind it up

Got me some dry ice pellets

Mix and use bubble bags to shake out kif.

All ready to make some hash

A little hash after the first run

after a lot of shaking and grinding, 10 minutes at 175°C after wrapping the kief in cellophane and newspaper (remember to moisten the newspaper), then pressing under the family crossover :eyesmoke:and finally all this work to get:

After some clean up I got the next batch ready, here are the twins in their new home.

Awesome journal ! Read from cover to cover. I am specially interested in that technique to drain and auto top the reservoirs. Would you think that would also work with a "waterfarm" taking into consideration it's reduced space from your setup?

A water farm unit will most likely not work as there is not a lot of room for the auto top hardware, the water farm drainage is really good there is just no real good way to hook up the sensor within the bucket.

This is your first grow? Hmmmm...
This is my first solo grow, well me and my wife. I have been financier to a few other grows where I reaped the benefits of harvest without lifting a finger. I have also spent some time (about 7 years) in Jamaica where family and friends grew big trees without commercial nutrients, maybe I magically picked up a thing or two.

I am quite happy with this grow, and my harvest looks like it will be more than I expected from a 400W lamp; I would say the early numbers look to be around 8OZ and 11g of hash. Your auto-top off idea works flawlessly in my new set up, so I am looking for a better Lemon Skunk harvest this time around.

High all,

Well it's been about 1 week since chop and hung to dry and it indeed does look as if my harvest will be more than I expected, I will not have final numbers as I will take final count after a week or so of curing and burping.

I am guessing about 8OZ and 11g of hash.

I am off to the market to grab 5 more of the big mason jars as the herb is a little cramped in the jars right now, smoke report in about 2 weeks.

I will definitely get some bud pictures up.

I was doing some clean up in the harvest room (cleaning up dry ice bag and fallen trimmings) and then I found my shaker with a hell of a lot of kiff caked to the sides and bottom of the tin.

After scraping it out I can add another 3.5g of kiff to my overall harvest.
