Big update coming Tonight/Thursday! Plants are looking great can't wait for everyone to see them!

DUDE!!!! You had me worried sick about you lol but ya cant wait to see how it looks!!!! Have you seen how great mine are coming along????

Had some problems a few weeks back....(This is about 3 Weeks old)

Having some SERIOUS Fruit Fly issues Dunno if its a harmful problem as I don't see the plants getting "Eaten" away so to speak...

Any ideas folks??

So...A little late on updates, been about a month since my last update, so I hope these pics do the "Grow" justice!

Anyways, thanks again RUI.org, Iv been on here everyday for the past 1/2 year reading anything I can....its all so informative and helpful and i'm always learning something new!

Added another Clamp light inside bringing us to a total of 9 Bulbs
6x 42 Watt
3x 26 Watt

I have NO Hood for my main 'Vanity' of 8 bulbs, anyone have any ideas for a Rubbermaid reflector..that would be great as I can't seem to find 1 that would work for the Rubbermaid Lid. Its a little late now anyways seeing as iv been growing for nearly 2 months, but Im sure it will help!

in these rubbermaids the light intensity is not what is giving the "fluffy and airy" final product. it is the extreme heat. these units work great if you can maintain the heat. i have seen taking a piece of clear plexi from homedepot and caulking it into the top container just under the lights effectivley seperating the top bin from the bottom bin. the fans are installed in the top bin removing the heat from your "air cooled reflector. i have seen the exhaust from the hood reach 105 degrees( checked by putting the temp sensor in the exhaust) while just under the plexi it is 78 degrees! of course the drawback is you must elevate the plants to the light which is somewhat of a pain in the ass. just an idea for next time. a good tip for when to switch to 12/12 is when the plant gets to the top of the first bin. or half the size you have to work with.

Dude you should see my grow

Any chance I could get some feedback on the grow / questions!

Need to know how serious Fruit Flies are, as it is that 'Time of year" for them, and they seem to be massing >_<..

Also, what is a GOOD water schedule once you have turned the plant into Flower, I'm pretty much Watering daily, just keep the soil Moist and it seems to be working...

Red sorry man i been kinda busy....but looks like your grow is coming along good, your plants seem kind of small, at least compared to mine, what strain you growing? seems like there growth got stunted, any new pics? And i would say to water every couple days, i water like every 3. And its probably better to water right when the lights come on

hey red i'm in the same boat noone wants to talk and i started out the same as you with tubs and y's to split lights so then i figured out that you can take these lights apart and poke the wires out and wire nut them together with short jumpers so your number of lights is only limited by space and imagination my tub had 12 i think, anyway the info is in the faq under cfls i think
the next issue was heat i took a regular floor fan from walmart and cut a round hole inthe top of my tub and made a housing out of cardboard boxes and duct tape(one thing i discovered was to put the tape around the sides of the fan kind of making a shroud ait made the fan more productive and much quieter) with this setup i was able to maintain 78 degrees.

i abandoned the tub because i wanted more light and it's not self perpetuating my new cab has a 22x33x74 flowering chamber (2)12x22x24 one for moms and one for veg and a 12x22x12 for ballast timers switches etc. any way i modified my light hood so i could fit a hps plus my cfls with a fan ontop (the fans i've used here are bath exhaust fans that i pirate out of abandoned mobile homes near where ilive i clean and oil them and they move alot of air and are quiet my neew cab has one on the hood and two in the top of the cab that can be switched on independantly for more precise air control

anyway for a reflector imade mine out of a piece of cardboard and wrapped tinfoil around it (notice the vent holes)and it sat in the tub over the lights and still 78
