Can't really find a lot of info on this light. Someone I know gave it to me for free and well, might as well give it a try. Current grow is 4 plants in soil, Espoma Garden Tone and RO water in a 3x4 space. Currently in veg under 4' 8 bulb T5 HO. My thoughts are to use the T5 as a vertical side light pannel with the LED over head. I also have 2 4' 2 bulb T8' I can use vertical in the cornersalong the T5. The back and 2 side walls are all covered in mylar as well. Here is a link for the light from ebay.

Any idea if this will be a good mixture?

You may very well be better just bypassing those LEDs and just plugging the pot right into the wall socket directly.

that light probably only uses 200 watt from the wall but would provide some benefit in your grow tent. as long as you have adequate ventilation I would go ahead and use it to see how it works.

I have a friend who uses one of these lights in a closet. I think it draws about 165w from the wall but it's not overly efficient. You can grow with it as long as you keep a plant directly under it and the plant is smallish. This light will not affect the plants outside of about 1.5ft square unless they were seedlings or early veg.

As us old bikers always say 'don't oggle wot you ain't ever gonna own, run wot you brung and ride it like you nicked it' my first rig consisted of a 12v car trickle charger on a 100/110w car headlight bulb and a regular 150w incandescent! Grew me some damn shitty weed but you take yer savings on buying in and dial em back into yer rig.

If it's free and you have a spare space to test it then try it out. At least see for yourself how bad it really is. Post your observations so future people can get a real review of some of the crap that's out there.
Well, I should be flipping them to true 12/12 in 2 more weeks. Guess I will give it a go and see what, if really anything, it does for me.

So would I be better off running it side by side to the T5 and rotate plants?

I wouldn't run it if I got 10 for free because I don't like my eyes and head hurting after working under that color. I owned some blurple and wow, 1 min under them and you need to get out.

That being said, you're not me and I have like 20+ diy led built lights and like 10+ hps DE.

So I would be better off just getting an hps and skipping using it. I pulled about 1 oz per plant my 1st run and flowered with that T5 with all 6500k bulbs, and the T8's with 3000k tubes, and 2 64w (300 equivelant) cfl 2700k bulbs. Quality was all the way there, just would like to see more yield without quality suffering.

a couple of these mixed with those 6500k for flowering may help both yield and quality http://www.ebay.com/itm/54W-54-Watts-T5-Bulbs-4-ft-48-High-Output-Fluorescent-Grow-Lamps-Bloom-Veg/261229975287?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&var=560206106299&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 but lighting is one small part of getting good yield and high quality. strain, growing style and grower skill all play an important role.I use a 6 bulb T5ho and a 3 bulb 2g11 cfl (160 watts/14000 lumens) in a 2ft by 6 ft by 8ft high flowering closet and get over 1/2 pound of high quality medicine. HPS will give you yield but not the best quality

Yeah, I over ferted, got P tox in flower, then took the big fan leaves towards the end of flower. This is my 2nd indoor grow, 4th grow ever. I learned quite a bit from my last grow. They look way better this run. Strains are Holy Grail Kush, Kandy Kush, and 1 Euphoria. All were topped and LST to get big bushes about 2 ft wide and about 16-18" tall with 12-14 main branches kept very even.
I ordered these for flower this time.

That's the real issue-not enough energy available to grow a larger plant. I'd estimate that the light you linked to is ~ 150-200W output based on how most drive those diodes. That would be enough for a single decent plant through flower or multiple veg. If you can deal with the thermal load a hps adds then that would be the best choice at this point.
