Fuck!!!! Management told me to take out window ac!!

My temps were running perfect for my 2 600w's over my new born babies.




Until maintainence came and told me I had to take out my window unit I had in my apartment window.

I was venting tha air out of tha 2 600w cooltubes out of the side of the window ac unit. And puling fresh air in through tha side of tha grow tent from the room that stayed at least 70.

Now that I had to take out my window unit tha ambient temp in my room is 79 and my tent temp is 95.

Is this too hot for my babies? Im gettin 2 Air Master fans tomorrow in tha mail, so hopefully it will bring the temps down in my tent. What do yall think?

Im in 2 DWC buckets with each one under 600w MH or a 600w HPS.

Tha one on tha left is Super Lemon Haze and tha bucket on tha right is LSD.

I have tha air being pulled from tha 2 cooltubes just blowin out tha window for now, and a small fan suckin air from outside tha window into tha room, barely lowering temps in tha room.

Do yall think id be good for now with out killin my baby plants? thank in advance.

You don't need that much light on seedlings in the first place.
At the very least turn one of the lights off, you could get by with a couple of CFL bulbs for a few weeks on seedlings.

They sell portable ac units that just have a small vent that goes out the window. I would invest in one of those.

Thanks for tha quick responses fellas. I think they just dont want anything sticking out tha window, so any type of A/C is not gonna be good for this one. I was thinkin bout gettin a 5 gallon bucket fill 1/8 with water and throw a frozen 2 liter bottle in it, then set my intake duct inside tha bucket to get cooler air into tha tent.

The only down side is ima have to have a constant supply of frozen water bottles in tha freezer at all times. Oh well, better that than dead plants right?

As for exahuast, I was thinking somethin simaler to tha intake instead of havin it blowin inside the water with 2 frozen 2 liter bottles instead to keep tha ambient temp in tha room down.

What yall think??

Jesus, are you growing plants or conducting an intense interrogation?
cfls are all you need right now, the electricity you're using isn't worth
it for your seedlings.
Were you planning on flowering more than two plants under those lights?

I would run one 600 for now.

95F isnt too hot as long as you have a ton of air circulation going on. Assuming the 95F is being read at the canopy of the plants, you should have fans blowing over the top of the canopy and getting rid of all that heat along with cooltubes. Make sure your soil is always hydrated and that you have fans blowing up into the foliage from below to feed CO2 to the under foliage.

Higher temps bring around pests, so take precautions against spider mites, etc.

there's 3 plants in each bucket, 1 under 1 600w MH, and tha other buckets under a 600w HPS. I want it to be like tha sun i my tent so they can grow tha fastest way possible. Theres 3 Super lemon haze feminized seedlings in 1 bucket, and 3 LSD feminized seedlings in tha other. I need 2 pounds in 4 months tops and am shooting for a harvest around valentines day.

I will be FIMing each plant once they have 4 nodes. After each additional shoot grows 4 nodes, Ima start LSTin them till they fill out most of tha tent with a very even canopy.

Will start 12/12 once I have a even canopy across most of tha tent or 4 weeks, whichever comes first.

This is just day 2 of planting them into tha rockwool cubes so i'll keep yall updated or link you to a grow journal maybe.

i think you would be lucky to get 2 pounds from an area that size. if you use a bigger intake fan and an even bigger exhaust the temps will come down dramatically.

I had tha temps at 73 when i had that window unit. These fuckin apartment people be trippin on that shit.

If I lower tha temps will it increase my yeild?

Guess Ima Have to ruogh it out with 87-92 degree weather, luckily winter's almost here close to tha equator. Then I can kepp temps at 68-75 easily

I hopin to get a pound per 600w. Even though it's my first grow I know i got tha knowledge and live info on tha spot from you guyz when somethin unexpected happenened.

So my main goal here is yeild, so is my approach best for yeilding tha most out of my space and amount of plants? If you can think of somethin bettter to increase yeild your experience will be taken into consideration.

No not like that if you wanna do it properly and not half ass it get a DUAL hose ac. Especially if your gonna run Co2.

Now this is where it gets hood... get a card board box, cut out a duct that will fit that two inch gap, use duct tape bro

Easy fix. The reason the ass of the window AC unit hangs out is so it expels the heat. Buy plywood. Make square. Put open end of square on the window and keep the A/C unit a foot inside the room instead. Now it doesnt hang out the window and the A/C is still there.

ahahah, close bro I just mmoved out tha hood. Im holdin it down over here, tryna make some green from this green.

And yea tho my nigga, I got tha exhaust from tha cooltubes running out tha window now. Just got tha window cracked and next to that I got a 6in blowin air out tha room through too to suck some that main A/C from tha vents in tha house. I tried to find some cardbord but i couldnt find none. I was susposed to get a package today, but they somehow lost it again

Im just gonna use some foil and some gorilla tape to block out side air and bugs comin through tha cracks around ducts.

Im blowed off this haze and hopes this grow goes as plans cuz i could use tha extra cash right now.

I dont think you get the point of the portable ac... it doesnt hang out the window, it looks like a humidifier, you can roll it around anywhere, and it allows you to vent the hot air out...

first it was the breaker issue now the ac next the smell.... soon the management, then finally the cops be careful

There was never a breaker issue. I just wanted to add some more amps, but didnt feel it was a risk worth takin. Managements only concern was tha ac hangin out the window was running too many amps and was probably a fire hazard. It was 7 amps and run on tha same 20 amp circuit as tha 8 watt washer. Right now I have two 600w's and it all runs in 1 room fine with fans pums, computer, etc. Management never had a pproblem with electrical iues.

I took tha window unit out and talked to tha manager and told him i was using it becaue it was hot and i didnt want to run tha ac in tha whole house just to cool down one room. Now I just have tha air venting out the window.

And there wiull be no smell with tha can 33 filter venting the entire grow with a 530cfm inline, so im straight on smell too.

So managements cool, and tha maintence guys even cooler so im straight. as long as I vent tha air and out of the window A little unnoticeably, I can use this winter air like an AC and have a harvest right before valentines day before it starts gettin hot as hell as again.

Bouta hit up home depot and get some supplies.
