I hear ya sleeper. My paranoia has caused me to keep my lab extremely efficient, hence why I grow in soil. My humble opinion on this whole setup, lose the dual 600w and use 1 switchable electric ballast 600w. Vent into the wall (scrubbed air only) Scrog 6-8 plants under the 600w and you'll solve most if not all of your problems. As far as the hydro growing. I can't comment as I use soil and it's VERY easy. No bubbling buckets etc. Just a couple PH balanced gallons of nute water handy to water every 2-3 days and lots of love.

Edit: Negative pressure in your tent will allow you to make passive vents and get cool, air conditioned apartment air into your tent/closet. If your scrubber sucks air out and into the crawlspace the negative pressure will suck your tent in like a vacuum unless you have passive intakes =) I really do hope you work it out bro. I feel your pain!

Your set-up sounds awesome mudslide! Very safe! I rent a 3 bedroom apartment, and even though I could use an entire bedroom for a bigger set-up, I choose to only use two closets, one for vegging/clones/moms, and the other for flower... I just vent into the bedrooms... I'm also runnung dwc, but I always try to have atleast one plant on soil, and run it completely organic, and I always keep all of that for me!! So delicious!!

yes if you go to homedepot.com and do a search for "portable ac units" you should find what you are looking for. Most i have seen comes with a 8 foot long vent tube with a 8" x 8" ( sometimes smaller i have seen a 4x4) square that can fit in a door way or window for the hot air that flows over the condenser. Be advised watched the condensation it can over flow quickly.

I'm considering converting another closet into a Veg station using the same/similar setup as the walk-in. I just love the bat cave feeling of the walkin. My 2 bedroom condo is perfectly normal, then it's like walking into Wonderland when you open the walk-in closet. It's a perfectly self-sustainable laboratory, cloning station, PH/soil testing station, temperature controlled, the works. Makes me feel like a mad scientist =) And nobody would ever know by wandering around my condo =)

Seriously though, as not to hi-jack the thread. Negative pressure works. Less lighting when using HID lights = less heat, less heat = happy plants = bigger harvests. Top and scrog your shits under 1 600w and vent that shit into the wall man. If your using a small grow tent you will see a difference in your circulation/heat problem using the negative pressure method. AND less risk to spending 2-10 years in prison, 1-5 years in prison for my particular setup =) I use 400w, 6 plants Scrog and topped, sativa strain.....

Don't forget the danky dankness your gonna get in flowering =) Ona bucket for residual odor that the scrubber misses, bam, no window bullshit. I don't like the idea of anyone seeing anything that has to do with my lab. This includes exhaust/intake. Paranoid apartment growers don't get caught =) (as easily) =)

The pictures of your first-floor apartment window look shady as hell. It really looks like you're up to no good in there. Blinds closed, make-shift vents venting out the window. I'm sorry man, but that's just incredibly stupid especially in a first floor apartment. It is very possible that a little bit of odor will leak too.

i agree on the window, i also notice the screen all bent up drawing more attention not to mention a open window that you could easily push in that setup and expose your entire operation.

Heres these tiny over fed babies that havent grown in 4 days. Just flushed them with tap water, still tryna get tha RO filter up and runnin

LSD#1, 2, and 3

Super Lemon Haze#1, 2, and 3

They are definately all stunted from too high of ppms, so I was gonna trash them. Get tha RO filter workin and have just 4 buckets with 1 plant in each.

I still have 2 fem seeds each of SLH and LSD.

Only these seeds will be born perfectly. Germinated and placed into rockwool and watered with pure RO water only. 1 seed per 5 gallon bucket FIMed and LSTed to perfection to produce a quarter to a half a pound a plant.

Temps Will balance out once I get my fans all in place

I created more negative pressure by adding fans pulling through tha carbon filter and through tha cooltubes removing tha heat threw tha window.

I still need more fans to get tha temps down. It needs more intake now cuz tha temps went back up to 92.

Fuck it these seedlings will most likely be trashed and new ones started once I get my temps and water perfect.

Haha, ill keep em growin tho until then tho, just to see if they survive this :grin:

your plants are ok they are working below ground they will pick up soon

they were out of stock on the turbo charged seeds so you got to slow your roll. they are short and not stretching all over your doing fine

Tha plants aint too small for their age?

I was thinkin that nute mix ive been feedin em stunted em.

I guess I was just expectin them to grow faster. Ill still probably add tha 4 new buckets with perfectly germinated seeds once I get my RO Filter up n runnin.
Another long ass walk to Lowes again.

Yea thats what I was seein. They got 3 of those dryer vents in a vertical row and theres only 2 floors. I know 2 of those vents are for the 1rst and 2nd floor dryers, but tha 3rd vent in between I was thinkin was venting tha crawlsapce like dude was sayin a couple posts up.

Vent into the wall (scrubbed air only)

I wouldnt see why they would vent tha crawlspace in between walls in an apartment building, but dude aboves says he fety a draft when he drilled into his, so I guess some do. I just aint wanna damage tha apartment too much espeially if I have to relocate in a hurry.

How long you gonna veg them for? I'd recommend at least 2 months trained into a bush if you want to pull that amount.

I'm also not so sure that they grow fast in DWC. I tried DWC before and the water would get too warm. Maybe I was doing it wrong.
Much slower growth than my coco grown plants

and yea if PH is off they wont grow.

True fact plus it pumps odor right out the exhaust, dual hose costs more but is worth it I'd say, I bought a single hose not knowing shit now I'll be converting that to dual hose which is fairly simple and works well.

Yea I was gonna veg for at least 6 weeks and keep a very even canopy using only garden wire ties, no scrog. Scrog is too much of a hassle. I check pH once every 12 hours and get it as close back to tha normal 5.5.

I know about keepin tha rez cool, thats why i was hopin for some winter air down here to be my free a/c and cool my whole tent.

I guess ima leave them 2 buckets with 3 plants in each of them to keep growin, and just add 4 brand new 5 gallon single plant buckets with perfect RO water.

Those 4 plants plus these 6 crappy over fed plants LSTed right will and can produce pounds of bud. All I gotta do is get my rez temps and room temps low and Ill be straight to produce some SUPER DUPER DANK.

Stay tuned in, im not givin up on this one. IT WILL FINISH. 2oz or 32ozs I dont care. This grow will complete. Or I will be completely incarcerated. Either way its gonna be one hella experience.

Just use one 600W Light and vent into another room. You're getting greedy and it's going to be your downfall. Sell the other 600W, just turn on your apartment's AC. Does your apartment have an AC unit? Because if it does and you bought another another AC then that's incredibly suspicious. Furthermore, I bet there's a lot of noise coming out of your window.

What I don't get is management told you to take the AC out and you still have these fucking shady looking vent things poking out of your window AND you have your blinds closed on top of it. If you keep this up, you're going to get caught very very soon. You might as well put a sign on your window that says you're growing pot.

For someone who doesn't care if you get 2oz or 32oz, you're really taking some dumb risks. Sorry to be harsh, but it's tough love... the negligence is mind boggling. Do you have any criminal record?

i just read through all of this right now and i have to agree with everyone about your window, god damn its creative but so obvious. I just started my first grow a month ago in soil with 1 400w hps and I have run into so many vent problems already because i am doing it in my closet at my apt. I went online and found this awesome thing called a water cooler, its like halfway between a fan and an ac unit, the only thing is that you have to fill it with water every 10-12 hours, but i dropped my temp by about 8-10 degrees and it only cost me $40.

As a few have said before and I agree it looks like you are getting greedy and only thinking about the potential $$ at the end of the rainbow, your apt looks ghetto as fuck with all those ducts going everywhere, good luck though i will watch on!
