Fungus Gnats/How Much 3% Hydro Perioxde Per Litre Of Water?

I currently am dealing with a fungus gnat problem. I am using quite a few different methods at the moment including letting my soil dry out. But it now going on day 3 without water so I am now getting ready to try the water/hydro peroxide method. Ive read that you generally want to use 1 part hydro peroxide and 4 parts water but that doesn't specify enough for me.
My question is how much 3% hydrogen peroxide do I use for 1 liter of water which is how much i use to water my pots ?
Any help/Info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi rayray. I have stuff called thuricide. that you add to the water and it kills the larvae. You can also use mosquito traps. they contain the same benificial bacteria. I will look up the name, but that has always worked. That along with spraying the safe gardening spray to kill the adults. peace

This is different than drying out the medium, as this is a drench. Just make sure to not over water when treating the gnats. I'm not sure on the peroxide solution I always use this method. a little goes a long way. gl 2 you

Word thanks for all the info and tips I appreciate it. i unfortunately don't got money for any of that until later this week. and Im going on 3 days without watering. So i going to attempt it. I was a little skeptical about it first but after doing some research and reading multiple study's and testings it seems to be a good method if done properly. and i found out a lot of other good uses for it i didn't know about as well :)
I read that you should use 1 part Hydrogen peroxide and 4 parts water.
What would that convert to if im using a litre of water?

I agree as well and I am aware of running the risk of killing beneficials doing this method but only if I use to much which is why i would like someone to help me with figuring out the 1 to 4 solution of 3% hydrogen peroxide with a litre of water?
plus like I said I don't have the money til later this week and I am going on day 3 without watering. As much as i appreciate your time and advice can you or someone please just answer my question ?

250ml is a 1:4 ratio
Thank you, that is what i thought but that would mean i would use half of my 500ml bottle I have now on 1 plant worth of watering and that confused me where i was reading/researching a bunch of different studys and a lot of them were saying a few table spoons should be good for a gallon worth and a cap full worth for a litre some say 17ml per litre some say 5ml per litre and so on.
Which is why I was hoping to get some feedback on here with someone who has used this method before before i go with the most common answer I seem to have found researching. Ive been up all night ahahah

I understand, you're working with what you got. No problem with that. I have just never done that method because I bought a bottle of the thuricide in ..well around the year 2000. and I still have it and it still does the trick. Money well spent.

I just don't see why you can't wait till you have like 8 USD and get those BTI dunks @ like a Home Depot or something. I'm just saying cause I had a serious gnat problem and waited till the beginning of the month, they were all over the house. I got the Dunks and the yellow strips and 2 weeks later nothing but strips full of adult gnats. The choice is yours. I'd realy hate to see all you bennies go to wast after all the time it took to multiply them. Good luck bro.

I should have reworded my question looking back it me sounds stupid lmao. Because i am aware that 1/4 ratio to a litre would be 250ml but that is way way way to much from what i been reading so i dunno i guess i will have to make a judgement call.
And yea i will deff keep you posted :)

Id be willing to wait knowing if not gonna hurt my plants by not watering them for 3+ days.
How long can you go without watering a weed plant without causing damage stunt growth etc?

I don't know. You're not going to hurt the plants I don't think because I have soaked roots in straight 3% to clean slime and they survived....I don't remember any special problems or anything afterwords.

You can water from the bottom up. You know the drip pan. I had to do that. But usually I go till either I pick up the pot and it is light or till the leaves droop down.
