Man he may be right about waiting. How long are you going to be gone? How bad is the situation? Money to spend? When can you spend money? If you can wait a few days, it might be better to wait, but if you have to wait for awhile before you can buy anything then you might want to go ahead.........you have to way the factors.ooops....weigh not way...oh well you get it.

You can water from the bottom up. You know the drip pan. I had to do that. But usually I go till either I pick up the pot and it is light or till the leaves droop down.
I used to over water really bad and this helped me to learn when to and when not to. along with helping control the fungus gnats

Id be willing to wait knowing if not gonna hurt my plants by not watering them for 3+ days.
How long can you go without watering a weed plant without causing damage stunt growth etc?
If you're gonna use the dunks, go ahead and water them as normal and tehn

Do they need watered now? If it's gonna be 3+ days, I'd go ahead and water them IF they need it and then treat them the next watering.

it funny you say that because i was watering from bottom up when i first started then after reading and researching i decided to switch to watering from top and one of the reasons why was because it said bottom pot watering can lead to water collecting at bottom of pot trays collecting water/humidity creating nice breeding grounds for fungus gnats... FML... Oh the irony ahah

I've never used the dunks because I've had this bottle for freakn ever. You may want to soak them for 24 hours or so though to dissolve them into your water.

I crush them in a old Mc D's cup and apply as needed. I add to my rainwater res and top-dress soil. You wanna be a bad ass use a whole crushed dunk in an AACT Tea and you'll be da Boss.
