Going Vertical - 4x4 Tent

Clones are two and a half weeks old. :)

I have air-conditioning coming in a week. Heat is getting too much to handle at the moment and its only going to get worse next month. Both my veg and flower room are hitting 29-30c (86f). I don't care about the ones in veg. But my flower room I'd prefer lower. Could swap down to a 600w....
Kinda comes down to a cost-benefit ratio of whether the potential higher yield and possibly slightly higher quality will outweigh the energy used to achieve it with AC vs. just switching down to 600w...

I know you probably dont want too but you could keep the 1K in the 4x4 and set it up vertical inside a cool tube.

that glass aint going to stop all those lumens... I was running 2 600's horizontal in cooltubes with no issues.. Thought about switching to 1k bare but i'd have to run a tube i think to keep temps manageable.

I'd rather tube it myself than add ac. But 600 might be better than both. like lawlrus said.

just food for thought.

I've heard temps are meant to be easier to deal with In a vert grow. So I'm looking forward to that hurdle if its going to get hotter.

Update photo of vegging ladies. I think they are now basically three weeks from when i cloned them.

I'd normally transplant to say a 8l before going to the big bags I have now. But they seem to be hitting the sides now and shooting upwards.

Good luck with the vertical. Be prepared to smash your last horizontal grow harvest. Even when you don't do it right you'll still get a better yield:)
I'm really excited the plants are going to be huge. They still have basically 4 weeks till the flower tent is free. I can see alot of work ahead of me when they stretch, but I can already see the vision!!

Coming along nicely!
Cheers. I'm kinda scared about height issues, but I kinda figure as it stretches you just tie it around the back wall/net. I've never left a plant so long before topping a plant. These are going to be monsters going into flower. I think I def need to increase pot size for flower as I already have roots out the 18l bags.

One other thing I should mention. These ladies have had no other nutrients then what's in the soil, except for a little bit of nitrozyme and some root booster shit I had laying around.

I definitely train mine to make them more manageable, but I don't have much specific advice for your situation due to the tent. If it looks like it needs attention, it probably does! lol

If you are worried about height simply take the top of the plant in your hand and tie it down...you can bend those Mofos in two and they'll love you for it. Then get it trained so the top is growing horizontally along your chosen screen and watch the scene fill up as all those shoots start their own vertical growth. Plants are looking happy.

You got it, bend those bitches and tie em up and strap em down and make them call you dadd--okay sorry I got carried away. But seriously, you're right on point...did you end up putting the screen around the wall? If so then you're good to go and some simple plastic twist-ties from the grocery store (in addition to some well-placed reusable zipties for the larger colas and as an anchor point) are all you need.

I'll wait till I top them. That will slow them down for half a week. Its going to be a fun change going vert. I just cant wait to get it started.

Haha, not yet as the flowering tent is busy finishing a horizontal scrog.

Two weeks to go and then we flip.

Decided to supercrop them to bush then out a bit more. Normally I would have done this way earlier. But I let them grow tall before topping this time.

It's the thickest steams I've super cropped before, felt like I was really hurting them, but I k ow they will bounce back with vengeance in a day or so.
