Wanting to do a grow next season I was going over places in my head then thought of Google Earth and ended up finding about 4 more potential areas.

To expand on this the app has a great feature on figuring out how long your spot will be in the sun....

You have to select the "Show sunlight across landscape" icon located on the top toolbar area - circled in red with the little sun in it.

From there you can adjust the time of day with the right hand slider.

This first pict shows the two spots can start to get light at 6:30am or so. The second pict shows that last bit of light on the spots will be around 5:50pm or so. 11 hours of light in these spots in August.





Works great for mountainous areas, not so much for tree shadow and density.
