Well we are going to be much more creative on limits in Canada...

See the way it will be done here is much simpler - we are going to take the amount of medicine required (wanted) by the patient and subtract it by how long Trudeau wants to be Pie Minister. Simple math X-Y= Justin's job.
No accountant, inspectors, cops, or silly plant counts, no none of that. WE are tired of being pushed around, marginalized, and made to feel like criminals. Its time to turn the heat up and decarboxylase the governments lack luster performance..... Last I checked its was yours and my country too...

Definition of a democracy;
Two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch....

Definition of freedom;
A well armed (and educated) sheep.....:cuss::peace:

Just remember that trudeau has already stated that he wants it harder for us to get guns and going to make it harder to get a license. So which is he the sheep or the wolf.

Wolf - he should be careful - the Canadian sheep will rise to the occasion lol He's not our friend, of that I have no question. Still may be better than comrade harper. How much remains to be seen...

Well all the gov has to do is make it a requirement that your zoning allowes cannabis growing and let the municipalities set the zoning. If the municipalities follow HC then they could set it so you have to be on Industrial or ALR zoned property and home growing would be done. So if you live in Fort Foo and they set the cannabis growing zoning to Industrial and HC license application asks you if you have correct zoning well that's if for you if you can't afford a warehouse. All they have to do is re-implement the program, it doesn't say they have to make it easy to get a license.

I agree. But, rezoning could be tricky if they wanna go that route. Lotsa folks have started outdoor veggies inside, so it would be tough to draw a line on cannabis IMO. Outdoor crops will most definitely be dealt with @ the municipal bylaw level (odour). Having said that, I'm glad I'm zoned Agri/Res.

Putting unnecessary restriction on zoning will continue to violate section 7. Municipalities would have to justify limiting your freedoms in your own home and defend those reasons in court. They can't use fire, mold or home invasion as the courts already called bullshit on that. What's left...smell? Can they force someone to stop growing a legal plant because a neighbor complains? If that were the case, I could force my neighbors to dig up all their flowers because I don't like the smell. And I would... any law must be applied evenly to everyone. People will spend millions of dollars for a house on the beach and bask in the smell of rotting seaweed, decaying marine life and various other ocean odours, but they complain about medicine. I am sure they are going to allow some form of home growing for recreational, and every second house will have a few plants...I don't think outlawing it for 90% of dwellings is gonna fly.

Zoning only applies to comercial. In your home as long as you don't violate noise bylaws, they dont have a leg to stand on. However ive seen some ops that have multiple ac systems running and they are annoying as fuck to the neighbors.
There are more than just noise bylaws...ie: property standards (old cars, junk, long grass, overgrown landscaping...etc). You cannot annoy your neighbors....period. Until every other house in suburbia is growing MJ, there will be bylaws @ the municipal level for outdoor gardens med or rec...imo!

True, but define 'annoy'. Does somebody's right to grow lilacs over rule another's right to grow cannabis? Once they are both legal, there would need to be justification to treat one differently than the others,imo. It will be an area of contention for sure, but there is only so far they can go before they end up in court.

I have several hundred veg / flowers started indoors. Somebody want to tell me that I cant grow them, well I will not put up with that, nor anyone telling me I cant have my medicine either. Property owners are afforded a bundle of rights that includes enjoying ones property. I live in a dickass little town, Kirk T. would have me owning the town when im done suing for my rights. Other areas/ towns would have more problems perhaps. I have been in this battle for a generation - I will not quit fighting until we all have our rights. The mayor of the quaint little town I live in doesnt want me at her office every day, she knows I can be a major pain in her ass she wouldnt want to put up with.
The war is not over, but victory is in sight. We must keep fighting to make things right.

this 5 months is going to seem like an eternity.

I know it's wishful thinking but hopefully they get it right the first time. Would super suck if we have to do the whole court thing all over again.
Keep sending your MP, Minister of Health, and Justin emails, phone calls, - be polite - but let them know we are here.

If we have to do it again, class action lawsuit is what will occur. Allard case was the last straw. Judges are questioning what is going on and ruling in our favour. I dont think trudeau is that bent on escalating this war - or so I hope.

I don't think Trudeau is either but HC is another story.

I think California goes back or further then Canada MMJ laws and they got limited by canopy size.
Didn't they get limited by square footage of grow area? And then the growers started 2-3 story grow rooms, as cubic feet were never regulated?

Surrey already passed by laws that you can only have med grows on ALR land. They went door to door to the bigger grows that grew in residential and they had to shut them down. I knew a few people who had to break their commercial warehouse leases as the city was going to fine any land lord the had a grow on their property.

I think with the new ruling that would not stand up in court anymore.
