I'm just going from a rumor I read about on Facebook. I'm just trying to find out what those cases are all about. I was sure there were several that judges put on hold until after the phelan decision. Please correct me if I am wrong. Cheers.

This is many months ago but I was sure I saw something that said that there were other federal cannabis court cases that judges had said wait until the phelan case is determined and then we will proceed accordingly but I can't remember the specifics or just how many there might be. I know that they were individual challenges but nothing more. Anyone see or hear anything?

Thank you!
Crown is currently looking to have the goldstars case stayed saying the outcome of allard means we have nothing left to fight for. Jtc is going to argue that only parts of what we are fighting for were dealt with by allard. I believe it's justice phelan hearing the case so that could be good for us as he ruled in everyone's favor in the allard case. Also he's well versed in the issues at hand but I don't know if he'll want to go even farther then he already did in allard.

My guess is he'll either reserve judgement until after the 6 month HC deadline, or make a ruling and suspend it until after. When I look at how long it took for the Allard ruling, it just seems unlikely anything will be solved before August.

What is the goldstars case all about? What are they seeking? Can anyone fill me in please?
Gold stars are seeking full section 56 exemption to any rule against cannabis. So basically if the gov comes back in 5 months and says mmj patients are only allowed 6 plants the goldstars would veto that with a win of course

Gold stars is arguing 20 points of contention where allard only argued 4. We already won those 4 because of allard but we want to go even farther and really force the gov to treat sick mmj patients as we should be treated. As humans with the rights to medicate as we see fit without the govement restricting us. And like allard if we win EVERYONE wins!

Pardon my ignorance but I'm about to get my medical card. Will there be a time when I would legally be able to grow my medicine?

Well the government currently had 5 months to come up with a new federal medical marijuana program. Most people believe that home grows must be a part of that program, however after reading Philpotts comments last week, I'm concerned.

So to answer your question. Yes, hopefully in the next 5 months or so, once your signed up with the new program. However If the new program doesn't include home grows, I'm sure there will another challenge and court case. So then you'll probably be allowed to grow whenever that one resolves.
