well here we go...
super ghetto closet grow

5 afghan, 7 grapefruit x willie nelson, and 4 bagseed(exceptional quality)

note: the grapefruit x willie may/may not contain northern lights, kind of a mystery there

planted on april 9th

they are all in 6 inch pots, filled with miracle grow moisture control potting mix

they are under (2) 4 foot flouro tube fixtures, one fixture containing 1 opti-lite full spectrum bulb, and a phillips full sunshine bulb (both 40 watts). the other fixture has one phillips full sunshine, and a phillips cool white bulb (both 40 watts)

this is a very very low budget grow!

ive had success with flouro tubes before so lets hope for the best!!!

pic 1: grapefruit x willie nelson
pic 2: afghan
pic 3: bagseed(that one looks indica)
pic 4: crappy pic of closet

stick with me now, im still learning about how to post this stuff!

anyone ever seen leaves like that b4 from bagseed? only plants ive ever seen with those style of leaves was supposed to be some kinda kush/widow mix. the seeds came from a batch of commerical mids that had a few nugs of something really good in it. i could only get one of the few nugs and it happened to have 2 seeds in it. those are the 2 wide leaved bagseeds in the white pots, im more excited about those than the others even!!

by the way im using natural spring water in gallon jugs, not tap water, not distilled.
tbs molasses per gal of water every 3rd watering. viogro plant food (10-10-10), which i use very very sparingly... only a 1/4 tsp per gallon of water(or less)about every third or 4th watering

these are no longer with me, they went to a very good cause (all except pic2, which is just a closet pic)

it was 2 bagseeds, 1 afghan, 1 grapefruit x willie nelson. those 2 bagseeds were a tad too sativa anyhow
so that worked out for the best(they stunk like hell too!)

pic4 is the two bagseeds i speak of, notice how lanky the one is, the other is more of a mix

pic5 is the afghan, and the grapefruit x willie nelson that i gave up

so now i have only indicas, with the grapefruit x willie nelson being the least pure indica

new updates very soon! post comments if you please, i dont mind at all! i'd love to find someone who has grown these strains!

ill post a close up pic of the nodes next... im about to FIM/top all the plants, one of the grapefruit ones is already fim'd due to its height, last time i fim'd at 4th node, this time im gonna wait untill 5 or 6 nodes and pinch off the lowest, smallest branches since they wont reach the light easily. i can tell already i may have to get creative to keep them all around the same height, well hopefully ill be back tommarow with updates, keep growin and smokin ya'll

well sorry, not having an easy time keeping up on my journal

anyways, the babes are on their 5th week now
GFxWN: grapefruit x willie nelson, im tired of typing it

the GFxWN plants are getting TALL, im running out of room width wise as well thnx to the mostly indica plants i have.

the 2 bagseed plants were fim'd along with all of the GFxWN. none of the afghans have been topped/fim'd due to their height difference

i may have to get rid of 2 more babes:cry: in order to have any room

well here's some pics, maybe u can see what i mean about running out of space

pic2: very middle and top are the 2 bagseeds, far left afghan, other two GFxWN
pic3: GFxWN they are branching out now

the wide ass leaves on my plants are taking up major room, i went thru and cut off all of the stems growing out of the lower nodes. i only want to keep the branches that will grow up to the light, since im only working with (4) 48 inch flouro bulbs. i have a 600W cool breeze hps w/ lumatek digital ballast that needs a new bulb, but if i used it i would have to find a way to vent the light, and my electrical situation is sketchy too. so that makes it much cheaper and more simple to just use flouros

do any of you think it wise to force my babes into 12/12? i have no signs of pre-flowers yet, but i dont want them getting super tall. ive heard forcing 12/12 will make more males, do any of you agree/disagree?

It shouldn't, most the time they are male, female, or hermie from the start. Unless they are shocked into hermies. The grapefruit can be flowered now but I don't know about the others. I have 10 grapefruit breeds myself and I know what you mean about the lack of space. My room is 7' x 10' and I must send at least 5 to my greenhouse or I will get overrun. Good luck.

sorry for the lack of updates.... ill post a couple harvest pics as soon as i get my camera back...
i ended up with 2 afghan females, 1 bagseed, and 1 WN x GF.
the afghans finished first, they were dense and leafy. the flavor is a sweet/earthy flavor. the high is great, its mostly a sedative high. the longer these buds cured the better they were.
the WN x GF finished just after the afghan. the buds looked like they grew into little balls, not quite as dense as the afghan, but a higher calyx to leaf ratio. it has a sweet/fruity/citrus flavor like nothing ive ever tasted. this plant was very resinous, the high was strong. it was a mixed high, best of both worlds.
the bagseed plant was a real gold mine. it took a full 2 weeks longer than the WN x GF to finish. it was a very dense and leafy plant, short and stout. it had a TON of resin everywhere on the plant, and it stunk like a skunk's ass. the buds were very dense and heavy, this plant produced more than double of any of the others.
the taste is a sour skunk flavor, it wasnt very strong tho. but where this plant lacked in taste, it really made up for it in potency. the high was a mix, slightly more sedative than the GF x WN. this strain certainly had the strongest high though, i was shocked. if i could have cloned any of these it would have certainly been the bagseed plant!

i recommend all of these strains!!! bagseeds are a gamble, but sometimes u can hit it big!
